It was my last college year in business management.

It is my last year of college, and I was wondering what exactly I should do about it. Should I go ahead and study in university or should I just go ahead and start working at a regular job?

Choice 1 : You start looking for a job since you already have a foot in the door at a few places and so, you choose to go for an OJT (On the job training).

Choice 2 : After your college graduation, you start looking for a new place to study and you hear that HEC Montreal provides great knowledge and even internships, so you choose to go there.

An interesting place.

Few months ago, you started your training to be a General Manager in a retail store and it is going quite good but you have few problems with employees since most of them don't understand why you got the job offer instead of them. It causes few problems in the store since most few employees look mad and so, you start wondering what you should do.

Choice 1 : Continue the training in the retail store to be a General Manager and act like it doesn't concern you.

Choice 2 : You start looking for a new place to work since the employees don't seem to appreciate you.

A few more years of studying.

At the end of college, you chose to start learning even more to acquire more knowledge and so, you went to the HEC Montreal. You realize they provide great knowledge being useful but you also realize that your bank accounts is taking a hit since it costs you a lot of money. You start wondering with time what to do about it to keep moving forward.

Choice 1 : You choose to start looking for a student line of credit provided by a bank.

Choice 2 : Since you don't want to owe money to a bank after university, you choose to find yourself a well-paid job to pay for your University.

Few years in.

After working a few years at the retail store, things seem in order and most employees appreciate you. With the job you have, you start looking for a house and start making a living out of this job since it is more than enough to get what you want. A few years later, you realize that the choice you made maybe was right since you feel accomplished in life but still would've liked to acquire more knowledge since anyone with higher studies could take you places.

Choice 1 :

Somewhere else.

After searching for a job for a few weeks, you find out that many Canadian Tire stores are hiring and so, you choose to apply there. You get accepted and start learning on the rope. After only a few months, you've learned to job at its fullest and so, they promote you to General Manager to move you to another store. After a few years, you're glad of the choice you've made since you have your own store and that you make a living out of it.

A line of credit.

It's been 2 years since you started studying at the HEC Montreal. You owe about $35 000 to your bank for studying there and choose to continue. To you, it seems like a good choice and so, you keep ongoing and learning what you enjoy and wish to do in life. A few years after school, you know it was worth it since in only 3 years, you were able to cover everything you owed to the bank. You feel accomplished and enjoy what you do for a living.

A part-time job?

Since your bank accounts were taking a shot, you chose to start working somewhere, and they told you they would pay your studies. You start doing so but don't get high enough grades and so, they unfortunately tell you they won't be able to pay for it since you maybe won't have a place in their business. You realize you should have studied way more while you could and move on.
