History of the choice.

Hi, my name is Chantelle. I am 19, soon to be 20 years old. I am currently studying in health science at the Dawson Cegep. This is my last semester, and I am going in university in the fall. I have a little issue. I applied in university a few days and I have to respond to my admission letter but I don’t know what to choose. Well, I am hesitating between two programs but I really need to be thoughtful about this decision.

Choice 1 : Business management.

Choice 2 : Law.

Business management.

I’ve always been interested in Business. My father was a businessman and I feel like this the way for me be very successful in life. I am hoping to be an entrepreneur in the future to be able to be my own boss. Something interesting about being an entrepreneur, is the fact that, concerning the salary, the sky is the limit. This is one of the best advantages. However, to be an entrepreneur, it takes a lot.

Choice 1 : Go to university and get a business management degree.

Choice 2 : Take a few entrepreneurship classes and start my own business.

The Business Management program is pretty interesting, and it contains a lot of course that covers a lot in the business field. The first year, you have to a few courses that every student in business must take and the two last years, you have to choose a major and a minor. There are a lot of options such as IT management, Management, Marketing, etc. I must choose soon.

Choice 2 : Marketing.

After getting my bachelor’s degree in IT management, the wage in the workplace after can be very interesting. Moreover, I will get a lot of connivance to start my own business If I want to.

Choice 2 : Directly start my own business.

After my bachelor, I could get a master. There are different masters but one of them is the MBA, Master of Business Administration and it is the best one. It is the one that make you the number one choice for employers. However, For the Mba, you have to have 2 years of experience before starting the program.

Choice 1 : Get a basic master.

Choice 2 : Complete my bachelor and get a MBA.

It is known that the MBA is a very hard program but once your done with the program, your have a lot of skills that other masters’ students don’t have. A lot of people with an MBA had enough skills to create their own business and be successful. I hope that by starting a business, I will have the chance to have a six figure to be able to pay my future house mortgage easily and to be able to have a great pension during my retirement at the end of my professional life.

After a getting my MBA I would work a few years to get overtime all the experience and the skills that I can have and put aside some money to create my own business or even a few businesses.

To start my own business, having a few years of experience would be better to have the skills to manage willingly my business.

The Marketing program is very popular, but it is not the one that offers the best salary on the market.

Take a few entrepreneurship classes and start my own business.

A few companies offer training and a few classes to learn the ropes of the job. However, If I take the training, it it would only give me the basics of the job and after this training, I would still have to hire someone that would be like a mentor for me to help me manage my business.

It would cost too much money when I could use the money to invest in my business. Also, Unfortunately, my money is pretty much limited, so I don’t have the means to hire someone for at least the start of my business because hiring someone would cause me to be in lack of resources and money to start my business. So, Without the help of anyone and trying to start my business with only the basic would only cause me to work in drudgery.

13) I am really interested in law. In fact, in business law even though I know that it is an overwhelming profession. But, this job offers a reasonable income yearly. To be honest, I am considering this option because I had a little test drive. In fact, one time, I had the opportunity to do an internship in a law firm, and so I had a chance to See what a day looked like in the job of a lawyer. So, seeing the ins-and-outs of the job encouraged and made me want to be a lawyer. Therefore, I am not sure at 100 % that I want to do this for the rest of my life.

After lots of thinking and after evaluating the pros and the cons, I think that this program for me has more disadvantages that’s advantages. One of the things that is making hesitating is the fact that a lot of people undermine this job and claim that there is a lot of misconduct depending on where you work, and I am not comfortable working in this kind of environment.

This option could be worthwhile, and it would be an excellent idea, but I want to be done with school as soon as possible and by taking a sabbatical year, I would waste a little bit of time and I think that yea off would be very maddening.
