I finished secondary and I have to make an important choice for my future.

Choice 1 : Go to cegep.

Choice 2 : Go to DEP.

I am finishing my secondary and I decided to go to Montmorency Cegep in Social Sciences because I want to be an accountant later.

Choice 1 : Go to University.

Choice 2 : Internship.

Go to DEP.

I finished my secondary and I chose to do a DEP in finance.

Choice 1 : Accounting DEP.

Choice 2 : Competence training center 2000.

I enrolled in the DEP in accounting.

Choice 1 : Go to the job market.

Choice 2 : Go to do a volunteer.

I decided to register for the DEP in accounting at the Competences 2000 training Center. I choose this center because it is the closest to my home.

Go to the University.

After, my college I decided to enroll in University. I applied to two universities, the University of Montreal, and the University of Laval. The choice is difficult to make, because if I decided to go to Laval University, I would be alone, far from my friends and my family.

I decided to go to the University of Montreal because I am close to home and there are severals of my friends, but during the first semester it was a disaster.

Choice 1 : Stay more focused.

I chose to go to Laval University and the adaptation is very complicated, I find it hard to feel at home. I have an urgent need to find a job so that I can support myself. I took a condo with a student from my University and my savings are almost done. I have already found two jobs that might interest me.

Choice 1 : Work in the College bookstore.

Choice 2 : Subway.

Stay more focused.

It was the second week of the first semester and my teachers had already started to accumulate homework. After dinner, I took a look at my homework and homework. I arrived late, I submitted work late. At the end of the semester, given the negative results, I had to make a quick decision about my time management and overall organization. So, I decided to organize myself and plan my days in advance. Over the next few weeks, I took a more cautious stance, devoting more time to my studies and homework. However, I continued to fall behind, so I thought a lot and decided to put all the distractions aside and focus on my studies.

Choice 1 : Success.

Keep having fun.

I didn't change anything, I got bored all the time, I spent months studying, I went out every night, I went to see the girls and I had fun with my friends.

After a difficult first semester, I got things in hand and everything went well for the rest of my semester. I validate all of my courses.

Internship.

After finishing my secondary, I chose to do an internship to have more experience.

Choice 1 : Home internship.

Choice 2 : Intership abroad.

Home internship.

I decided to do my internship in Canada, to stay clean of my family and friends. Doing this internship here will allow me to discover the Canadian way of working and strengthen me in my choice of career.

Choice 2 : My internship is going well.

Internship abroad.

I chose to do my internship abroad because I found this opportunity very interesting, because it will allow me to learn a new language and a new culture. I did my internship in Social Science. During the internship, I was responsible for observing and assisting various executives in the exercise of their functions. During the trip we were about five trainees. I learned techniques and methods, how to perform the tasks of the trade. I visited several companies, warehouses, I participated in seminars.

Go to the job market.

After my DEP in accounting, I found work as an accounting technician in the city of Quebec. The salary varies according to the years of experience acquired.

Go to do a volunteer.

After my DEP, I decided to go volunteering to live a new experience. The director of the association had responded positively to my proposal. He said that I could come and work as a volunteer for his association. During the trip, we were about fifty volunteers. We went with a lot of groceries. The downside on this trip was the jet lag, so we didn't have a clue of the weather. We made t-shirts for all the volunteers. During those few weeks I volunteered, that is, I was not paid, but I learned a lot and tried to give best of me and the most useful as possible.

Lost.

I had fun and finally failed my first year. I have validated three out of ten courses. So, I have to recognize this year.

I chose to work in the college library. I work about six hours a week. I am responsible for the storage of the items and the cash register.

Subway.

I chose to work at Subway because I would like to work more hours so that I can save money to meet my needs. I would like to have a lot of experience so that I can have a higher salary that will allow me to put money aside to prepare for my retirement.

Get out of the University.

After the disaster of the first trimester, I made no effort and accumulated many failures. As a result of these failures, I was finally fired.

The United States.

I had the opportunity to do my internship abroad and I chose The United States.This internship is very important for me, it will allow me to better know the profession and to acquire several skills.

France.

I decided to do my internship in France. I find that France is a good opportunity to acquire several components in my country. I feel very comfortable here, I adapt very well, my internship is going well, I have a lot of fun.

It's been a few months already and I can't really find my bearings. English is very difficult for me and I decided to go home.

Despite the language barrier, I decided to stay and continue my internship. This will allow me to improve in English and gain more experiences.

My internship is going well.

I really liked the internship, I really appreciate the exchanges with the various supervisors. I am reassured in my choice of career, I felt in my element during the internship and everything are going really well, but I was charged during the internship and had to stop before the end.

Everything went very badly.

I really didn't like this internship, it was a total disaster. It was far from what I expected. I was unable to perform the assigned tasks properly. My supervisor was very demanding, he stressed me too much, he overloaded me with my many tasks. I think I will change my career choice.
