It was the beginning of college. I started thinking about my career. I had to make an important choice.
Choice 1 : Do my homework and study every week.
Choice 2 : Watch TV in my free time.
It was the middle of the semester, I have been doing good since the beginning of the semester, and I intend to do like this until the end. Since I have started university, my teachers had given us plenty of homework. To help me about my time management, I will try to do my homework at least 1 to 2 days before it’s due. I will not put it aside, and I will be thorough. This way, I will be able to do my homework with more attention, instead of rushing all of the time. It is really maddening and exhausting to do so. In exams period, I will plan which class to study for each day, like that I will have a lot of confidence, and I will be able to concentrate and pull off straight A’s.
Choice 1 : Go to work after my bachelor degree.
Choice 2 : Continue study for a master.
It was the middle of the semester, I have been doing good since the beginning of the semester, and I intend to do like this until the end. Since I have started university, my teachers had given us plenty of homework. Today, I am sure homework can wait, I will watch some TV just to relax. Since the middle of the semester and up until now I have been procrastinating. Today I received my final results. I have failed all of my courses. I lost motivation in continuing my bachelor degree. School is not for me anymore.
Choice 1 : The beginning of university.
I have finished my bachelor degree, and today is the first day work in a nursing home. I got hired by the HR. I am not a psychologist but with my degree I can practice some of the things I learned at university. I am happy that I have found a job, I was skeptical that with just a bachelor degree it would have been just dead-ends job for me. Having just a bachelor degree have some advantages and some disadvantages, but in my case it worked well for me. My first day of work today, and I am a trainee. I will be on-the-job-training for at least three months. Before hiring me, the HR did some background check on me. It was a vacant position, and I am super lucky that I got it. The person who had this position for personal reasons took a leave of absence. I hope everything will be okay, and I will have great relationship with my colleagues. I would hate to the recipient of some office politics. I hate misconducts, and sexual harassment. I pray that everything will work well, I can see myself working in that nursing home until my retirement. Have a good pension for my old days sounds wonderful to me. I already have a foot in the door. Today it was my first day at work, I loved it. Today it was also my last day at work. The morning went well, I paid extra attention to what my trainer was saying, and I did everything he taught me with extra precaution. Unfortunately I was unprofessional. At 1 P.m, I had a patient. He came in and sat down, everything was going well until he started flirting with me. The flirtation moment was so unbearable, it makes me sick to my stomach. I have a family and a husband, beside my patient is not the most attractive human being I have ever seen. He wasn’t my type at all. I lost my temper when he stand up, and approached me. He tried to touch my face and without thinking I slapped him pretty hard in the face. In my head it was a big misconduct, but I admit I over reacted a little bit. There is no place for violence at work. After my slap, my patient abruptly left, and a few minutes later my trainer was there. My patient explained what happened, but in a way he seemed the victim. I was so shocked at my own reaction that I didn’t find the strength to argue and defend myself. Violence is never the answer, so I accepted my trainer decision’s. He fired me immediately.
