Studies.

In my last year of high school, I still wasn't sure about what career I wanted to pursue. As I was clueless about all of the programs that colleges were offering, I booked an appointment with a guidance counselor to help me to do right choice before filling my applications. The guidance counselor looked at my grades thorough my high school years and guidance counselor and realized that I had good grades in every subjects related to languages and Social Science. After looking at my grades, she told me that I would be a good lawyer. In fact, that could be a profession made for me as I like to argue with people and I'm against injustice. While reading flyers, I found the Science program of Maisonneuve College pretty interesting. What interested the most with this program is that there are History classes, a subject that I always had straight A's. After reading other flyers, the legal technique of Ahuntsic College caught my attention. What interested me the most with this program was that there is an internship in the last year of the program. As I'm interested in both programs, the big dilemma was to chose a program.

Choice 1 : Social Science at Maisonneuve College.

Social Science at Maisonneuve College.

It has been one and a half year since I have started studying Social Sciences and I am now on my last semester. Last semester was a little bit hard more me as I lost motivation to continue studying because many of my classes weren't related to law. One of the most maddening things to do is to put aside my homework and forget to do it before an exam. I remembered not long before the end of last semester, I bought myself a new video game without thinking that I have tough exams coming on the next week and that I should've studied instead. I wasted too much time playing on my video game that I have only made a cursory study before my exam. This semester, I decided to stop pulling off my tasks and separate them thorough the week. After a cursory look, I realized that doing my homework aren't that much demanding. Through doing my howework, I will easily reinforce what i have learnt in class and it will help me when I have an exam. Despite the fact, that I succeed in all of my classes, my final grades thourough my collegial years weren't enough for me to apply in Law at the University. I had to find another alternative for after the summer break.

Choice 1 : Studying Industrial Relations.

Study Paralegal Technology at Ahuntsic College.

I've been in this program since the beginning of 2018 fall semester. I'm actually on my third and last year of the program. Paralegal Technology is a program that makes the student able to proceed with documentary and computer research of laws, regulations, case law and doctrine that can fuel the treatment of a legal problem. As I'm almost ending the program,the internship that I have made this semester in a law firm helped me to learn the ropes as I have worked alongside lawyers that teached me a lot. I'm not perfectly sure that I want to pursue a career in Law. I applied in two universities and both accepted my application. Which university should I choose to go?

Choice 1 : Montreal University.

Choice 2 : Go to Sherbrooke University.

Sherbrooke University.

I'm on the last semester of my Law degree at Sherbrooke University. As the University is two and a half hours far from my house at Montreal, I'm living on the campus. When I first came, I have made new friends quickly and got to participate in fun residence events. As it's the mid-semeser, I have a lot of exams and assignments this week but my floormates organized a party this weekend and I don't know if I should go.

I put aside my homework last weekend to have some fun on my floormates party. Unfortunately, I was hungover the whole weekend and I haven't found the motivation and strenght to complete my assignements and that led that I have failed the semester.

I decided to miss my floormates party and to complete my assignments and study hard for my exams. By doing that sacrifize, I got straight A's in all of my exams and got my bachelor degree.

Taking a sabatical year.

I decided to pull off of school for the next year to take a break. As I have plenty of free time ahead of me, I don't know if I should take a full-time job or travel arround the world.

I decided to stay at my dead-end job to earn more money in order the pay my scholarity fees when I will start University.

Studying Industrial Relations.

I got my bachelor degree in Industrial Relations and I found a passion in Human Resourses. I recently got hired on a vacant position at Walmart's HR. There are a lot of benefits by working at the HR, not only I earn a competitive salary, but I also get good pensions for when I retire. Since I work there, I had to deal with a lot of employees and I also had to hire some to fill some vacant positions. Hiring employees are one of the things that I love the most with my profession. In fact, you have the opportunity to interview people from different backgrounds. Also, I can negotiate with future employees with their compensations, salary, pensions and when they can get leaves of absence. Undoubtedly, hiring employees is a leg work.
