This was finally the end of college. After three years of hard-working in the Pre-Hospital Emergency Care program, I was finally going to work as a Paramedic. That day, my friends and me were graduating. This was a very special occasion for us to celebrate all together the end of school. Everything was happening so fast those days of my life. I already had a job interview, the next day of my graduation, as a Paramedic! I wanted to focus on celebrating this unique moment in my life with people I was really appreciating. To celebrate a little more after the party at school, my friends were planning to go in a bar and drink some alcohol. I really wanted to go with them, but I really needed to sleep to be ready for my interview the next day. What's the best thing to do in this situation?
Choice 1 : Party at the bar.
Choice 2 : Rest at home.

Right after the party in school, I went to the nearest bar in town with my friends. At this place, there was a lot of people, fun and obviously alcohol... I was clearly not able to control myself with the delicious drinks around me. I was aware of the consequences of drinking alcohol because I learned it in college, but I wanted to enjoy the moment. After some glasses of different kinds of alcohol, I called a taxi driver and came home.
Choice 1 : Go to bed.
Right after the party in school, I took my car and drove to my parents' house.
Choice 1 : Time to sleep.
After this fabulous night, I was really tired and when I put my head on the pillow, I slept like a baby. Oh! I woke up very late, so I had no time to prepare myself before my interview. What was the fastest solution?
Choice 1 : Do as fast as possible to be ready.
Choice 2 : Call the responsible.
I called the Paramedic in charge of my interview nervously. He seemed mad, but gave me one more hour before the appointment.
Choice 1 : The result.
I was running in the house to get ready on time. Before leaving the house, I thought that I was clean enough to present myself as a reliable person.
Choice 1 : In result...
I decided to go to bed directly because I knew I had to wake up soon in the morning. But when I woke up, I realized my shape was much too bad to present myself for a job interview. What would I do?
Choice 1 : Call the responsible.
Choice 2 : Better not show up.
I chose to skip the job interview. I thought it was better not to show up in bad shape and try in another company later.
Choice 1 : Return to start
A week later, I received a call from the interviewer. I was officially engaged in the company!
Choice 1 : Accept the job.
Choice 2 : Refuse the job.
Bad news. The interview didn't go very well because I was not at my best. The company didn't want to keep for a future employee.
Choice 1 : Return to start
I was so happy about this, I would never refuse a chance like this. This is a very good thing for my career. The boss offered me to start the ext day! In theory, I was very happy to start quickly, but in reality I already had an engagement with my family...
Choice 1 : Accept and put aside my family.
Choice 2 : Suggest another day.
Finally, the salary and the work schedule were not good for me. I preferred to take a chance with another company.
Choice 1 : Return to start
This job was really important for me, I had to make concessions. Furthermore, I didn't make a good impression when I called the person in charge of my interview and I didn't want to do something like that for a second time. The day after, I was ready ton start my training on the job. I already had done internships in this company, so I knew a little bit how they were working with the new employees. My internships were very instructive. I've learned so many things that I was feeling like an employee before working officially there. The internships are the best way to learn and practice everything we learn in college. That was why I felt so ready and confident to start working so quickly. When I saw the person who I was going to be with all the day and possibly during all my training, I was shocked. He was my ex-boyfriend. I was so mad at him, there was no way for me to be alone and to work efficiently with him in an ambulance for a lot of hours...
Choice 1 : Accept to work with him.
Choice 2 : Refuse to work with him.
There was no way for me to put aside my family for a job. My family was the most important part of my life, a job would never be more important for me. So, I suggested starting working for them the next Monday. It took only a second and I felt that the boss was mad at me. He was yelling in my ears, saying that he needed an employee immediately, not the next week. I felt so bad, so I explained how important my family was for me and told him that I have good reasons to start later. The boss was listening me, and he told me that he understood my situation. He finally accepted to give me a second chance. I was so grateful that I promised him to be the best employee of his life. A year later, my boss told me that I became a really good employee and that made me smile. My internships and my on-the-job training built a good Paramedic that was doing his best to save lives in an ambulance and help society.
Choice 1 : The End. Return to start?
I chose to put aside my social and personal life for the benefits of the job. The citizens needed some professional Paramedics to help them. So, no matter my relationships, I put the health of society in priority, and I was proud of this decision. My ex-boyfriend and became the best team of all the Paramedics. He helped me to introduce myself in the company with the training, and we discovered that we were not made to share our lives together, but certainly to work together.
Choice 1 : The End. Return to start?
I wanted the best training possible to make sure I become a good employee. I knew there was probably going to have some problems staying alone with him in an ambulance for a long time. My boss accepted to change our team for others and that was the best move to make sure the citizens receive good services.
Choice 1 : The End. Return to start?
