Good news! I found a program called "Springboard to a DCS" and it will give me the chance to get my prerequisites. A lot of schools offer this program, but I really want to go to Montmorency, so I send my application and I get accepted! For my first trimester, I chose to take the Chemistry class that I need. Unfortunately, I'm having a lot of difficulties and I want to give up and change my field of study. On the other side, I would really like to enter the Biomedical program. What should I do?
Choice 1 : Try to find another program that interests me.
Choice 2 : Continue through the difficulties.
I really like history, unfortunately, this field is not paying really well and doesn't offer a lot of jobs. Because of that, I'm not sure if I should choose something that is less interesting but pay well. Which one would be the better decision?
Choice 1 : Choose history.
Choice 2 : Choose a field (job) that I like less, but brings in more income and benefits.
I persevere and I passed my class! The next session I took the Physic class that I needed and passed it too. Also, during the semester I sent my application to enter the Biomedical Laboratory Technology program at "Cegep de Saint-Jerome" and have been accepted.
Choice 1 : Have six courses.
Choice 2 : Have seven courses.
I chose to study in history and I graduated. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to find a job in my field and had to find myself an unrelated job. I found a dead-end job in a little store and I wasted the rest of my life at this job.
Choice 1 : The End
I chose to go study Accounting. I didn't really liked it, but it would give me more money than History, so I graduated and found a good job with a good salary and benefits. The office ambience was good and I had good friends there. All in all, I was happy. When I retired, I spent time with my family. Because of all the advantages of my job, I had a great retirement.
Choice 1 : The End
This semester was a little easier. I only had six courses instead of seven. Although six is still tough, in my program, the margin between six and seven courses is big. It wasn’t easy, but I passed with good grades. During my internships, I was offered by two companies to work for them once I got my diplomat. I was offered a job in Clinical Biochemistry and one in Immunohematology. Which one should I apply for?
Choice 1 : Accept the job in Clinical Biochemistry.
Choice 2 : Accept the job in immunohematology.
This semester was rough. I didn’t think that seven courses in this program would be so tough. I had seven courses before, but this program is completely different. I was exhausted and stressed out, but I passed. My grades weren’t great, but my work ethic and my charisma during my internships lead to two companies to offer me a job once I got my diplomat. A company working in the field of Clinical Biochemistry and a company in the field of Immunohematology both offered me a job with similar conditions, salary, and work hours. Which company should I work for?
Choice 1 : Accept the job in Clinical Biochemistry.
Choice 2 : Accept the job in immunohematology.
I chose to accept the job in Clinical Biochemistry. In the beginning, everything was great. I have made friends and the ambiance was god. But one time, I saw something bad happen. A coworker that was working with me assaulted another employee and gave money to the boss not to be reported. Because of that, the victim was moved in another laboratory. Should I tell human resources or should I keep it for myself?
Choice 1 : Tell human ressources.
Choice 2 : Keep it for myself.
I chose to accept the job in Immunohematology. When I arrived, I was trained on the job by a coworker. I really loved the job and enjoyed the people. Unfortunately, after a long time of me working at that place, something happened. The coworker that trained me had assaulted another coworker and paid the boss, so he would not report him. Somehow, I discovered what happened but I wasn't sure what to do. Should I tell human resources or should I keep it for myself?
Choice 1 : Tell human resources.
Choice 2 : Keep it for myself.
I chose to tell human resources. When I contacted them, they told me they would do their best to fix the situation. A couple of weeks later, my boss and my coworker were fired and the victim returned to work with us. Years later, this person was still my friend, but now I wanted to retire. I wasn't sure if I wanted to stay close to my family or move to Austin with my husband.
Choice 1 : Stay near my family.
Choice 2 : Retire in Austin.
I have decided to keep it a secret, I was in fear that if I told somebody something would happen to me. Because of that, I kept it and continued working there until I retired. I wasn't sure if I wanted to stay near my family or if I wanted to move to Austin with my husband.
Choice 1 : Stay near my family.
Choice 2 : Retire in Austin.
I continued to work there for a long time even after everything that happened. I stayed until retirement. My husband started his retirement around the same time as I did. Although both of our jobs offered some great retirement plans, we decided to stay local and close to our family.
