You just graduated from high school and you can't decide in which program you want to go in. Both of your two favourite programs accepted you and you can't make a choice. You've always been a person that wants to help others and now is the time to choose the way you will achieve this dream.

You realise that Ahuntsic College is 45 minutes away from your home. You just got your driver's license and you don't know if you feel confident about driving to Montreal every day.

You have waited too long to make a choice and there's no more places in this program. You try to tell yourself that it was a dead-end job anyway and that it wasn't the right path for you.

You haven't slept all night and felt so stressed about driving on your first day of school. You don't know how to manage your time and you leave your house a little late. Once you're on the highway, there's a big traffic jam that is going to make you late. You are looking for a solution.

You've always thought that the subway was a disgusting place but you feel like this was the right thing to avoid any sort of unexpected event. You leave your home with your car and drive to the Metro parking. Luckily, there's a lot of empty places. Once you arrive on the train, the train is full. Everyone is pushing you and you can't find a place to stand.

Drive into the reserved lane.

You are skipping all the traffic jam by cheating in the reserved lane. You are not proud of yourself but it was the only way to get to the College at the right time. Everything is going good until you see some red and blue lights flashing behind you. You realise that a police car is about to arrest you. You can't loose any more time.

You arrive at school 20 minutes after the beginning of all the instructions. You don't know a single person and all the students are staring at you. You are so shy and your face is all red. A teacher comes up to you and ask why you are late. You stutter and suddenly start feeling nauseous. You are seeing black spots. You puke right in front of the teacher. Everyone around is laughing at you. You start to cry and the teacher is furious.

Everyone is pushing you and you start to feel anxious. You are out of breath and you lose consciousness. Once you wake up, there is a bunch of people around trying to help you. You look at your watch, and we are now in the afternoon. You missed your first day of school and you got rejected from the program of your dream by not showing up to the registration.

You feel a lot better on the bus taking you directly to Ahuntsic. There are still a lot of people but not as much as in the subway. You also see someone with a paramedic uniform. You can see the Ahuntsic College logo with a badge that says "intern". You're all sweaty but you wonder if it could be a good thing to go talk to the person. It would be great to know someone in your program on your first day of school.

She is telling you that she is on her way to her final internship to get her diploma. You are very interested in all of the stories of weird patients and you can't wait to start this program of Prehospital Emergency Care. You really found the job of your dream and can't wait to start with the Biology classes and cardiopulmonary resuscitation class. Your dream is to save people's lives and help others.

He has a blue face and doesn't look like he is breathing. He falls on the bus floor and doesn't move. You are shocked and everyone is screaming. You see a sandwich beside the man and you think that he might have just choked. You need to do something.

The police officer asks you where you are going. You don't really know what to answer and you don't want to lie to a police officer. You look at the clock and you are inevitably going to arrive late. There's no other option.

You are driving at a 200 km/h speed and you are starting to get scared. You remember that you don't have a lot of driving experience start to panic. You make a bad move, and you make an accident. Paramedics came to you and tried to reanimate you with all the blood on the ground. You died due to a massive bleeding of your abdominal cavity.

With a lot of help of the intern, you are able to unblock the patient's airways, so he can finally breathe. The intern has all of her equipment and decide to ventilate the patient with her little pocket mask. Everyone aboard applause and you feel like saving lives is the perfect job for you. You can't wait to get your diploma and start your new career.

You are leaving the country. You can't support the fact that everyone saw you panic. You decide to move to France to pursue your dream of becoming a paramedic. You liked the yellow color of the ambulances in Quebec and you don't think you will love them in France. Too bad, you still want to do this job but in French!

You are leaving the country. You can't support the fact that everyone saw you vomit and laughed at you. You decide to move to France to pursue your dream of becoming a paramedic. You made the right decision. It's been two years since you graduated from Ahuntsic College with a Prehospital Emergency Care diploma. Being a paramedic is amazing. You feel like you achieve your goal of helping others. In fact, you are currently in the ambulance on a night shift. Suddenly, you get a call from the dispatcher. Suicide in the subway. With all the adrenaline, you start the vehicle and drive with your partner with the lights and siren on. You are with all your stuff in front of the train. You can see from the platform that the body is behead.

You know that you are going to make a lot of nightmares of this situation and always imagine that it could happen to someone you know. You're telling yourself that the next patient you will be affected to, you will make him feel important. You need to move on and finish your shift.

30 years later, you feel like it is finally the time for retirement. You had a great career with a lot of things to tell your grandchildren. You have seen so much in these last 30 years. Going from a cardiac arrest to the grandmother who has a stomach ache. You can't imagine yourself doing another type of job. You could have got into the major at Montreal University to upgrade your skills but you didn't have the time to study with all your family. SPLL is the company you have worked with and it offers you a part-time job as interviewer to hire new paramedics. You accept and will die years later.
