I started sewing at a really young age. When I was around 18 years old, I started creating my own clothes. I have one important choice to make.
Choice 1 : Going to cegep and going in the Fashion Design program.
Choice 2 : Being hired in a company and having an on-the-job training.

I finally made my choice! I'm now in the Fashion Design program. I made friends on the first day of school, and they all seem to appreciate me. They even invite me to a party this weekend, they say everyone will be there. I have an important homework due for Monday and I didn't start it yet. We are Friday night and the party is tomorrow. That would give me 1 day and a half to do my homework.
Choice 1 : Go to the party.
Choice 2 : Do my important homework.
I finally made my choice! I decided not to take the 3-year course, and I am now hired in a fashion company. I am currently doing my on-the-job training, and I think it's the best way to to learn the ropes. All of my coworkers are really nice to me. I earn $15 per hours, it is really close to the minimum wage. I work here for a few weeks now, and I am realizing that it is a dead-end job.
Choice 1 : Continue working there.
Choice 2 : Leave the job.
I don't think I made the right choice but who cares? I'm at the party right now and I'm having the greatest night of my life. I think about my homework and the choice I made and I'm telling myself I really don't have good time management. I don't care the night is too fun for me to leave. A girl tells me there is an after-party at her house not too far from here.
Choice 1 : Go back home early.
Choice 2 : Staying late.
I think I made a really good choice. If I continue this way, I will certainly have straight A's in all of my classes. I just finished my homework, it was though and it took me way longer than I thought. I am really tired of doing it but I feel like there are some things that I could modify to have a better grade. I am not motivated to do this anymore and I can't stop thinking about my friends partying right now.
Choice 1 : Try to do even better.
Choice 2 : Send it like that.
I have really good grades and everything is going well for me. I met a guy in my program and I think I like him. He talks to me about a fashion internship in Paris. It would be my first time being an intern as a designer. It is interesting but when I think about leaving my family and friends I become overwhelmed.
Choice 1 : Go to the internship in Paris.
Choice 2 : Don't go to the internship in Paris.
Because I was too tired from the party, I had a really bad grade. It demotivated me and since then my grades are worse and worse. At this point, I don't even know if I want to be at school anymore. I really do love the fashion industry but I think this is too hard for me.
Choice 1 : Being hired in a company and having an on-the-job training.
My hard work paid off. I am now the student with the highest grades in the whole program. My teacher is really proud of my grades. She says I can do my fashion patterns perfectly and that my sewing is just incredible. She is now offering me an internship as a fashion designer in Paris.
Choice 1 : Go to the internship in Paris.
Choice 2 : Don't go to the internship in Paris.
My grades are in the average. I like the fashion program but I don't know if I want to continue anymore. I have some things going on in my life and I have a hard time focusing on school.
Choice 1 : Being hired in a company and having an on-the-job training.
Going to the fashion internship in Paris was definitely the best thing I've ever done in my life. I really like being an Intern with fashion professional. I think doing an internship is the best way to learn the ropes. I am learning the trends, how to do trunk shows and I also learn how to make ready to wear clothes. Even though I really miss my family and friends, I don't want to leave!
Choice 1 : The end.
The guy I like in my class just texted me from Paris. He is doing the internship, and he says it is the best decision of his life. I need to admit that I regret my decision of not going to Paris. I wish I could have another chance to do an internship somewhere. I'm doing well at school and my life is going great. I can't wait to finish school and be a fashion designer.
Choice 1 : The end.
I have been working here for 5 years now. My wage went up to $20 per hours, it is not that much but it is better than what I had 5 years ago. The company has multiples workplace all around the world. Today, my boss told me that she really likes the clothes I make, she then asked me if would like to work at the Milan office. I am so happy about this proposition! I wanted to say yes instantly but then I thought about my family and friends. I would miss them a lot but moving in another country is an experience you must live at least once in your life.
Choice 1 : Move to Milan and work there.
Choice 2 : Stay in the Montreal office.
Leaving this company is the best thing I could ever have done. I created my own company and I work on it since then. It is getting bigger and bigger and everyday I have thousands of orders. I have 10 employees working for me, and they all have a really good wage ($27 per hours). I have my own website where I sell all the clothes we make. I would like to upgrade my fashion company but I don't know what I should do.
Choice 1 : Open a store in Montreal.
Choice 2 : Create a men's collection.
Coming to Milan was definitely the best decision to make. I meet new people every day and it broadens my horizons. I even have a bonus because I work outside of Canada. I go to many fashion runways (fashion shows) and it gives me a lot of ideas for my fashion patterns. Sometimes, I meet some celebrities, and they tell me they really like the clothes I make. Some of them even gave me their number and asked me to contact them if I would like to work for them as a fashion designer.
Choice 1 : Work for a celebrity.
Choice 2 : Stay in the same company.
At first, I was sad because I didn't go to Milan, but today my boss finally offered me a promotion. I am now the new assistant manager! I realize that it pays off to stay in the same company for a long time. I now have a really good wage and I couldn't ask for better coworkers. Who knows? Maybe one day I will become the manager of this company!
Choice 1 : The end.
Opening a store in downtown Montreal is the best idea I've ever had. My company is doing better than ever and I'm making a lot of money. The only problem I have is that sometimes people are steeling and it makes me really upset. I worked hard to have what I have but I think some people don't understand that. I definitely need to improve my security system.
Choice 1 : Put security tags on the clothes.
Choice 2 : Install cameras.
Creating a trendy collection for men is one of the best ideas I had. I now have a bigger clientele and that means more profits. It also gives me the possibility to hire more men at my company and I think having as many men as women creates a good working environment.
Choice 1 : The end.
Working with a celebrity brings me a lot of stress but it is totally worth it! I have new challenges every day and I don't think I could ever get tired of this job. One of the advantages of working with a star is that I sometimes I have the opportunity to create new clothes for other celebrities who like my work. It helps me grow in the business and I'm starting to be a known fashion designer.
Choice 1 : The end.
Working in the fashion industry is very difficult because the employees are mostly women and sometimes it can cause drama. I still like my job, and I am very happy to live in Milan. Working with other people make me learn new things and I can always have the opinions of my coworkers. Every 2 or 3 years, my boss gives me a promotion, I'm getting higher in the company and this is something I'm really proud of.
Choice 1 : The end.
Putting tags on every clothes was really expensive but it was worth the cost! I don't (or almost) have any more problems with thieves. It is definitely the best solution for loss prevention.
Choice 1 : The end.
Even though I installed cameras, it doesn't stop the thieves. I can see their faces on the camera, but they don't always come back, so we can't catch them. However, when it's regular customers, we are able to stop them and confront them.
