The beginning of a big adventure!

It's 2021, we are in a pandemic and my courses are online. It is very difficult to gain motivation by myself because it is obviously not the same as being taught in person and being with people in the same program that can of course motivate you. I had a lot of reflections last night about what to choose for my future. It is a lot better to study when you have a purpose of course. So, after long hours of thinking about possible paths. I had to choose between Computer Science with applied mathematics and Social Science.

Choice 1 : Computer Science.

Choice 2 : Social Science.

That is a good decision! Because I've always been passionate about that field, and I used to code games when I was 10 to 14 years old. So, maybe that I have a lot of potential in that field, we will see. After this decision, I talked with a guidance counselor. I've asked him, what can I choose for University. He gave me a list of choices and I stayed with 2 that interested me. The first one is a Software engineer, and the other one is a computer engineer.

Choice 1 : Software Engineer.

Choice 2 : Computer Engineer.

After this decision, to be sure, I contacted a guidance counselor. I've always been passionate about the psychology of humans and neurology, so I told him what are the possibilities for University. He gave me a list of choices and I've stayed with psychology.

Choice 1 : Psychology.

I chose Software Engineer! I think that's a good choice, I find it very interesting. In Software Engineer we use our specialized knowledge to develop, install, validate, and maintain software systems. So, now that I know what I want, I need to finish my program of course. I am at my session's final. I had straight A's at the beginning, but now I am starting to talk and play a lot with my friends, very late. I am losing motivation. What should I do?

Choice 1 : Avoiding sleeping too late and use google calendar to organize my study sessions.

Choice 2 : Play video games with my friends at night, to get better at it.

I finished my program! I worked very hard and I got very good grades, but it also showed me that it is more important to work smart and afterward work hard. In this journey of hard work and sacrifice, I learned that discipline can take you somewhere that motivation can't. My hard work gave me the curiosity to study beyond the material given in class, and surpass myself. Now I have 2 choices. To continue, or to take a sabbatical.

It maybe sounds impossible, but I could do both the business and my work because of my time management. I worked 30 hours per week, which is not a lot of course, but it helped me have the money I needed. I lived in a small house with my friend, and we created an application that can help your mental health. My friend is a neurologist, and I am a Computer Scientist. We contacted a lot of psychologists for this business. The drawbacks of that experience were that I didn't have any social life. I was working 12 hours every day and more. Some days, I was sleeping for 3 hours. It was very difficult but I had a goal and I didn't want to give up. At the moment, I am writing you this I'm overwhelmed. What should I do? I earned 100k, I was very happy! I used it for a new house, and to build a new family with my wife. After 2 years, Fortnite got less and less popular. That impacted a lot of my income, and my Youtube views dropped a lot. I finally had to apply to a dead-end job, to pay my debts. It is a really hard moment for me.

Choice 1 : Restart!

Continue the hard work.

I continued my hard work! I finished my master's computer engineering degree. I was 25 years old. I have now turned 35, and I am proud of all the work that I've put.
