Summer 2021.

This semester was pretty special. Last semester I failed an online class in my program which is Pre-hospital Emergency Care, so now I still have two years left before I get my diploma. It is now time to prepare for summer. I am not sure what I want to do yet. I would like to enjoy the outside more this summer, since last one I was working inside a nursing home.

Now that I decided to work in the nursing home, I must decide my schedule. Since I already had a foot in the door, I already know my superior so it is easy to get what I want. Also, this summer visitor will be allowed to come three at a time if they stay outside so I proposed to my boss to stay outside to check on them and take care of the flower beds. I also started recover unsold flower from a florist to give to the resident.

Work on my fathers farm.

This summer I decided to work on my fathers farm. It is an organic vegetable farm. I do a lot of work there. Also, my father asked me if I could take care of a task in particular. He offered me two choices.

Choice 1 : Be in charge of the deliveries

Choice 2 : Be in charge of driving tractors.

Work in the West.

I decided to go on a road trip to British Columbia. Now there I need to find a job!

Choice 1 : Do tree planting

Choice 2 : Do fruit picking.

Regular day schedule.

I'm now doing the regular day schedule. Visitors usually only start arriving towards 10 a.m. so days start softly. Afterwards, I assist the residents with taking care of their little garden and I take care of the flower beds by myself. Also, I make sure that the visitors that are outside with a resident are respectful of the health measures. Now summer is over.

10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Now that I work from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. I work without a break! Within those hours there is always job to do and time goes by fast. Summer is now over and it is time to go back to class.

The farms sell most of its vegetables in Montreal. My task is to deliver shares every Tuesday. I like driving the delivery truck since it is even bigger then an ambulance so it is great for practice! Summer is now over, I need to get ready for school.

There are many tasks that need a tractor to be done on the farm. My father asked me to be in charge of the mechanical weeding. Summer is now over.

I found a job tree planting! It is very physical, but it pays well and is for a good cause. Now time to head back home.

Now in British Columbia I found a job on an orchard. It pays less than planting tree but the task is more fun and my coworker are very fun to be with. Sadly summer has come to an end.

It is now time to go back to school. With the pandemic it is still unclear what will happen.

Choice 2 : Face-to-face class.

Choice 3 : Drop out.

To prevent the spread of covid 19, most class are online. I have to redo my failed class online again, pathophysiology which I now succeed in because I decided to put more effort towards online learning.

With the covid 19 vaccine now widely administrated, class's can be like before in school. I now succeed my pathophysiology because I am much more motivated.

Finally, I decided I didn't want to complete my paramedic program, and I am now looking to do an intern formation at my work site to become a patient attendant.
