Interns.

My last semester as an emergency care student has finally arrived. I now have to choose a company with whom I'm going to do my internship with.

Choice 1 : Go with SPLL by the north shore of Montreal.

Choice 2 : Go with Urgences-Santé in Montreal and Laval.

At the end of my internship, my boss thinks I'm doing a really great job, and he offers me a job at this company. But I realize it's a dead-end job because it's a small company, I don't know what to do.

Choice 1 : Accept the job at SPLL.

Choice 2 : Career reorientation.

Go with Urgences-Santé in Montreal and Laval.

While I was completing my internship, I broke my back trying to get a patient up. I have to get a surgery if I want to be able to do this job again, but I will only last ten years.

Choice 1 : Do the surgery.

Choice 2 : Career reorientation.

Accept the job at SPLL.

I worked there for the rest of my life. Many years later I look back and feel lucky to have made these choices.

My surgery took more time than intended. The surgeon and his team were exhausted and it led to a medical error that got me paralyzed. I am now dependent of others and I can't work on my own.

Choice 1 : Ask for the medical medical assistance with dying.

Choice 2 : Give my new lifestyle a chance.

Career reorientation.

I find a job as an emergency medical dispatcher and live happily ever after.

Ask for the medical medical assistance with dying.

I now realize I have nothing else to do on this earth and feel free to go. I ask my doctor, and he agrees and I die in peace.

I needed a medical care worker to come to my house every day to help me with my treatments and everyday life. This worker became the love of my life, and I am the happiest girl on earth for the rest of my days.
