I am currently 18 years old and I study Social Sciences at Cegep de Thetford. I am really devoted to my class and I work really hard to get my R score higher, even if I do not know if I will need a high one or not. Being a waitress at a microbrewery in my hometown is my job and I really love it because it will help me pay my student loan in the future. But, since I am already in my 3rd session in cegep, I will have to decide soon in what field of study I will go to next year. For the past 5 years, I wanted to be a defense lawyer, but in the past 3 months, my mind kind of changed, and I am really interested in nursing. I was really sure about my choice of studying Law but “Why making it simple when you can make it complicated!”.

I decided to go to the university Laval in law because I wanted to follow what I had been thinking for the last five years. Right now, I am living with my best friend in a small apartment and it is much harder than I expected. I am one of the worst of my class, and I am not able to study at my apartment because my roommate always plays video games, and she speaks loudly. I am not sure if I made the right decision about my field of study or even if I chose the right roommate. The girl that was once my best friend is now someone I do not appreciate.

Start Over my Cegep in Nursing.

My choice was to start over my cegep because I wanted to follow my heart and do what was more challenging for me to choose. I really exceed in my class and I made new friends that are younger than me. I also met a guy that studies here, but he is originally from France. We are really connecting, and we are going on a date this weekend! My parents will probably be mad, because I have my final exam the next day that will determine if I am going to be a nurse or not, so I do not know what I should do.

Change my Roommate.

I decided to change my roommate in the last spring break because my grades were not good at all, and I was definitely going to fail my semester. She was so mad; she cried a lot, and she let me pay the entire rent for that month. I understood why she was mad, so I did not argue, and I paid it. I thought the anger would pass but when I came home the month after that, she had said some bad stuff to all of my friends. Every one of them was mad, so I decided at the time to not go back there until my bachelor was done. That is what I did, and it was a great decision because I succeeded all of my classes, and now I am working in a big cabinet and I have a huge annual salary. I may have lost a friend, but I found a job that will help me to not go into debt.

Stay With my Roommate.

I decided to stay with my roommate, and it did not turn out how I was expecting. I failed my first year of university because I did not have the right skills to study law, but I discovered a whole new world in cinema because of my roommate. She studies film making and when I realized I was not going to succeed, I abandoned, and she really introduced me to her world. I then switched programs to go in the same courses as her. I learned so many things in this program about the box office and the different categories of movies like thrillers or comedies. Everyone, including me, was surprised by my choice, but I really think I made the best one for me.

Study For my Exam.

I decided to study for the exam. I did not want to throw away the work I had done in the past 3 years, because of a boy. It turned out, he was really mad about the fact that I stood him up, and he blocked me on social media. I guess he was not the right guy for me after all. On the other hand, my exam went really well, and I am currently at the university to complete my mastery in nursing. My teachers are completely devoted to their work, and they are saying that I have all the qualifications I need to become a great nurse. My skills are improving every day, and I am so proud of the path I am in. I will soon be able to help people with health problem like obesity. Most importantly I will be able to save lives.

Go On the Date.

I decided to go on the date that night because I was afraid of missing the love of my life. We went to a restaurant and after that, we went for a walk, and he kissed me before leaving me at my door. We fell in love that night, after 3 years of being best friends. I did not pass my final exam, which broke my heart. But at the end, it was my fault. I should have studied for it, but if I had studied, I would not be on a plane right now, going to France for the entire year with my fiancé.
