A choice to make.

You just finished your last year of college in Natural Sciences. You are not sure if you want to continue your studies at university in Psychology or take a year off to travel.

Choice 1 : University.

Choice 2 : Sabbatical Year.

So now that you have chosen to go at university, you feel that you have made the right choice. You don’t have enough money to go on a one-year trip and by continuing your studies, you will have full-time job sooner and the salary that comes with it. However, you do not know which university to pursue your studies at. You hesitate between Laval University and Montreal University.

You wanted to stay close to your family so you chose to go to Laval University. It’s been a week since school started and you love your program. As your first school project, you have the choice between studying the behaviour of bipolar adolescents in a youth centre or studying the behaviour of young adults who are currently experiencing depression at the hospital.

You decided to do your job on bipolar disease. When you arrive at the youth centre to observe the behaviour of certain teenagers, the security guard forbids you to enter. The visits are suspended for the rest of the month but you didn’t know about it. You start crying thinking that you will fail your class. A few days later, you restart your project but you had to study the behaviour of young adults experiencing depression.

They are thanking you because they have been looking for him for a year. He is one of the biggest drug dealers in town. Finally, you made the right decision to report him.

You decide not to say anything about your roommate because it’s none of your business. Weeks go by and you get to know each other, he’s super nice. You start to find him very interesting and you even fall in love with him. With time, you manage to get him off drugs. You think you have met the man of your life; luckily you did not call the police!

You’ve been working like crazy for two years, therefore this trip is well deserved. It will allow you to relax a little and take time for yourself while living new experiences. However, since you don’t have much money, you will have to work while traveling. You hesitate between going to California and working for a huge film company or going to Spain and teach French to a family of four children where you would be accommodated at the same time.

You wanted to experience something new so you decided to go to California. You will be able to enjoy the beautiful beaches and at the same time practice your English. After a few days there, you got a job at Universal Pictures. You can’t believe you are going to work where many blockbuster movies have been made like Jurassic World or Fast and Furious. Your job is to create specials effect. There is an actor who caught your eye on the set but you hesitate to go talk to him.

You get tired of it and decide to tell the parents. You tell them that their children don’t listen to you and are even mean to you. The parents are very upset about the news and don’t want you to live with them anymore. Since you don’t have enough money to find another place to live for the rest of the year, you decide to go back to Quebec.

You decide to say nothing with hope that the situation will get better. You have created a timetable for each week containing the hours of grammar, reading, and writing. One day, during the writing period, a child went into the kitchen without you noticing and put a cake in the oven. After a while, you smell a burning smell and decide to go see where it comes from. When you enter the kitchen, you see smoke and flames all over the room. You hurry to go out with the children and call the firemen. When their parents heard the news, they fire you immediately without even paying you. You decide to fly back to Quebec.
