I am now a graduate of Pure and Applied Sciences program at Lionel-Groulx College and now it's time to go to the university. So, is the time to choose my university program. I dream of becoming an engineer. But the question I have to ask myself is in which fields do I want to go even if I'm not a straight A's student?

Choice 1 : Chemical Engineering program.

Choice 2 : Go study aerospace engineering

Scene 1.

The field of chemical engineering is a very interesting and extraordinary environment. Moreover, during the studies, we learn the ropes of the trade and sometimes it can be overwhelming given the amount of stuff that must be learned to exercise the profession of chemical engineer. After our studies we can go in various fields but towards which?

Choice 1 : I am moving towards the production of cosmetic product

Choice 2 : I'm heading towards oil production

Scene 2.

After finishing the university, I finally got my degree in chemical engineering, and I am now on-the-job-training. Also, I don't have much experience. But, I want to start my own cosmetics company and participate in the production of the products. However, the drawback is money. So, should I still go ahead and start my own company?

Scene 3.

Despite the financial difficulties, I managed to get loans and investors to help me start my company. I have a whole team at my company, chemists, chemical engineers, people who work in the marketing field and even interns who learn the ropes. However, should I be doing pharmaceutical cream production or producing ecologically responsible moisturizers?

Choice 1 : Pharmaceutical cream production

Choice 2 : Ecologically responsible moisturizer production

Scene 4.

Ultimately working on production of the pharmaceutical cream remains a mistake, it was so overwhelming. I couldn't keep my company because I went bankrupt. Usually, we say a foot in the door but this time it was more like a foot out of the door. So, now I would have to move towards the production of drugs in the pharmaceutical field. On the other hand, I don't want to work in this environment.

The production of ecologically responsible moisturizer production is a real success. I can even give each of my employees a premium wage.

I decide to direct myself towards oil production. It's a very interesting field, except do I really want to work for something that pollutes the environment?

Choice 2 : Give up because of the environmental issue

One day an important project presents itself to me, and I have the opportunity to be able to exploit and develop the appropriate methods to oil production. On the other hand, to produce oil, it must be extracted from the ground, but the site is covered with a large forest, it would be necessary to raze the habitat of very important species for the ecosystem.

Choice 1 : Operate this site despite the consequences for the environment and the ecosystem

Choice 2 : Refuse this project in purpose to protect the environment and the ecosystem

I decide to accept the project, except that I feel responsible for deforesting the habitat of the species.

Finally the client who came to propose the project to us works for the mafia, and he was arrested for defrauding several engineering firms.

In the end, I decided to become a chemical engineer who works out methods to protect environment, and I am very happy in what I do.

At the university, I decided to go into the aerospace Engineering program. On the other hand, the lessons are really difficult and I fail a lot of courses in addition to lacking a lot of motivation.

I didn't drop out of the aerospace engineer program, except that I still fail my courses majority. Therefore, I will orient myself towards another program, it's for the best.

Now I'm working at a dead-end job and I feel like it's been forever since I've worked there. This job is boring and it is not stimulating. I should never have dropped out of school.
