My Career Path.

I am finishing high school.

I just finish high school! I don't really know what to do in my future. Where should I go to next year? What should I do with my future?

Most of my friends are studying at Lionel Groulx College, so I decide that I'm studying there too. Now, I need to decide which program I want to study in.

Choice 1 : I'm studying Pure and Applied Science.

I choose to study Pure and Applied Science. I fail a lot of classes because I'm loosing interest in Math and Chemistry classes. I don't know if I want to stay in this program next semester.

I decided to stay in Pure and Applied Science. I still don't like the program and have a lot of difficulty in my courses. I failed all of my classes.

I decide to do my 2 years of college in Social Science. We learn a lot about human and their behaviour in society. I really like it! I decide to go in a Psychology program at university. Now that I'm graduating with straight A's in most of my classes, I need to choose what University I'm going to.

Dead-End Job.

I decide that I don't want to go to school. I choose to do a dead-end-job in a company where my chances of getting a premium wage or any kind of promotions are very low.

Even though there are no promotions for me in my future which is a drawback, I get training for this new job.

After thirty-five years of work in this company and no promotions or pay raise, I'm retiring with no money put aside for my few years left.

I choose to go to the University of Quebec in Montreal. I don't like my teachers, they are boring and give us way too many assignments.

Choice 1 : I quit university, I want to do an OJT.

Choice 2 : I quit university, I'm going to travel.

Choice 3 : I pursue my studies at university.

I decided to abandon university, I rather travel. I travel for five years, but I got sick. The cost to cure my disease is too expensive, I don't have enough money to pay for it. I pass away at a young age in an unknown country, alone.

I choose to stay at the University of Quebec in Montreal. It's one of the best decisions I made, because I love Psychology and it's time for internships. It will help me learn the ropes of my future career.

I choose to be an intern in a school environment. It's only been a few weeks that I started to learn the ropes and I really don't like it. I feel overwhelm by all of my tasks and I feel really stressed. I find it difficult to work with children. I want to quit.

I choose to be an intern in a private office. I am very happy with my choice, it is a good test drive for my future career. People in this office are very nice and I love to do therapies and help people with their psychological disorders. I'm getting promotions really easy, I love it!

At the age of sixty-five, I can finally retire after a happy career. I have enough saving to travel and be surround by the ones I love. I am truly happy.

I choose to go to the University of Montreal. I am really happy with my choice, all of my classes are fascinating and my teachers are nice. I am really interested in becoming a private psychologist. It's my lucky day, an internship with one of the best psychologists just open up!

I finish my internship with an honorable mention. Now that I'm graduating, the psychologist I was working with wants me to work there. I accept the offer because I had a fun time and I developed some interpersonal relationship with my colleagues. Also, I have some regular patients that I made some diagnosis on.

I choose to accept the job offer. I am very happy with this choice. One day, I found out that one of my colleague is corrupting his clients. He ingrained a new price range for his consultations which is way too expensive, he wants to keep it as a secret from our boss because he could get fired. I am debating between telling my boss or not saying anything.

Choice 2 : I don't tell my boss.

I choose to tell my boss about my corrupted colleague. My superior decided to fire my colleague. To thank me for telling him what was going on, he gives me a pay raise.This is a very nice outcome of this situation!

Don't tell.

I choose to not tell my superior about the corruption my colleague is doing to his patients. The patients are not happy that they need to pay more for a consultation, they make a lot of complaints and start to less and less come. Eventually, nobody comes to our office and it's now we make a bankruptcy.

Retire rich.

At the age of sixty-five, I decide to take my retirement. I set aside a lot of money and I travel where ever I want with my family. I really love my job but it's time for me to enjoy my few years left at the fullest!
