To finish what I started or not?

I am a student at Montmorency College studying museum techniques. I have completed the program courses but I still need to complete my English ESG, French and Physical Education courses to obtain my diploma and graduate. I'm currently working in my field of studies even if I don't have my diploma. Do I really need my diploma to continue working as a museum technician? I have a decision to make. Should I drop out of school and work full time at my current job or should I complete my courses to graduate from college.

I've decided to drop out of school to work full time as a museum technician without my college diploma. I work with 3 other technicians that actually graduated from college. The curator who is my boss comes to use with bad news, he must fire one of use du to cuts in the budget. He decides to let me go because I'm the only technician that didn't graduate. What should I do next?

Choice 1 : Go back to school.

Choice 2 : Try to find a job in my field of studies.

I graduated from college! I'm very proud of myself and my parents are very happy that I finished what I started. I work in Montreal in my field of studies and I love my job. Although I'm satisfied with my life, I terribly miss my family in Nunavut. I'm also thinking of maybe going to university to get a certificate in indigenous studies to become an advocate for Inuit culture in museum institutions. I have a decision to make for my future. Should I follow my heart and move back up north, or follow my mind I continue my education. I could also make a safe decision and stay put at my current job and see what the future holds for me in Montreal.

I've been fired from my job, so I decide to go back to school and finish what I started even if that means being broke for a couple of months. I finally graduate and have many opportunities for work. Should I continue my education or move back to Nunavut because I miss my family very much.

Try to find a job in my field of studies.

I'm looking for a job as a museum technician but interview after interview, I am never the right candidate for the job because I haven't completed my college education. I'm thinking to myself what to do about my situation. I could go back to school and finish my courses or try finding whatever job is out there.

After a couple of years at university, I finally obtained my certificate in Indigenous studies. It wasn't easy but with all the hard work I put into my education, I finally achieved my dreams of becoming the best version of myself. I have many job opportunities and I feel very accomplished working with Inuit collections throughout Canada. I love my life! The end.

Move back to Iqaluit Nunavut.

I'm back in Nunavut and I'm very happy to be reunited with my family. I found a job as a museum technician at the Nunatta Sunakkutaangit Museum. I feel accomplished. I work with Inuit artefacts and artworks. This was my goal when I started the museum techniques program. The end!

Stay put in Montreal working at my current job.

I've been working for the same institution since I graduated from college. My boss is very flexible with my working hours and give me the opportunity to accept other contract in Montreal related to Inuit culture in museum collections in the city. I never get bored because I get to work with different people in different environments. I also get to visit my family in Nunavut during the holidays. I wish I could be closer to them but I love my job in Montreal. Also, maybe I'll be able to accept museology contracts up north some day and still keep my job in Montreal. The end!

Find a dead-end job.

Because I haven't found a job in my field of studies, I decided to look for any job available. I found a job as a receptionist at a hair salon. This job would be great for someone who is passionate about hair but this is not my case. I'm very unhappy with my life. I do not feel accomplished. My low income doesn't allow me to travel back home to Nunavut. I haven't seen my family in 2 years. I live pay check to pay check. I'm bored and wish I have made better decisions in the past. I'll probably go back to school in September to finish what I started. There is no other way. The end!
