I did not start college when I finish my grade eleven. I was working a lot but I needed to go back to school to continue my dream. I had to make a difficult choice. At this point of my life, my time management was not great at all.
Choice 1 : Do my homework on time and do it after every class.
Choice 2 : Play all kind of video games on my Xbox.
Choice 3 : Spend some times with my family and my friends.
Choice 4 : Overcome my generalized anxiety disorder.

It was only the beginning of the semester and I could see all the work that I will need to do every week. I said to myself that I will rush the fastest that I can every homework my teacher gave me just to be sure to never be late and to stop procrastinating every day. This way I will always be on times and be very less stress with my grades or my due dates. It was totally sure for me that I wanted to get very good grades. I wanted to get straight A's in my classes. I also needed a plan to study very well to be ready for all the big exams that was coming next. My goal is to be ready for an exam after every class, I wanted to accomplish all my work and class with great grades. For that I need to study a little bit every day or after class just to remind me what we just saw and be confident of myself. I needed to put aside my insecurities about myself and start to believe in me, study very well to be able to succeed my classes. I was always in a cursory mode, I was studying but not has much has I wanted, and I was always stopping because of small difficulties.
Choice 1 : Do my homework on time and do it after every class.
It was not that easy to be on point for all my work and study session. It was way easy to go grab my Xbox controller and play with my friends! But that, became a problem because I decided to play more video games instead of doing my homework. That is what we call procrastinating at his best. I decided that every Thursday it was going to be my day-off of school. But I am not sure if it was the best decision. I was gaming with all of my friends but one time my best friend told me, ''Why you're not doing your homework instead? You told me that you had a lot of work due next week!'' and I responded ''It can wait a little more''. At this moment, I could tell I was procrastinating and that I was far away from these straight A's that I was expecting. My time management was not great at all and my best friend made me realise that. I took my controller, close my Xbox and went to go finish my homework and started some big final work. Right before I left I said, '' Thank you, Marie I will leave and come back after if I have the time! I need to increase and get a better time management. Bye! ''
Choice 1 : Play all kind of video games on my Xbox.
I've always been a family person, I love others and I love my family. Like I said I was not fantastic with my time management. This make sure that I was getting late on some of my works. It is very important to me to see at least two times a week my family and my friends. My family get really wells with my friends, they are partying together and getting dinner together so for me, it was the best case scenario. I could see my friends and family at the same time, it was a great way to manage my time a little bit better. But during meeting times I did not calculate the time that my friends would stay at my house. For me, it was a lot more fun to stay with my loved ones than to go do my homework. I had no idea at all that the evenings were going to get longs and ultimately last a big part of the evening. My friends were leaving and it was already time for me to go to bed. I had a wonderful evening but I wished I had studied or advanced my work at all. I knew if I wanted to become an educator I had to do all my homework perfectly because they are looking for the better grades.
Choice 1 : Spend some times with my family and my friends.
I always knew I had anxiety, but I quite often found it being generalized. So, is very often I get discouraged during difficult or even simple jobs like small homework and projects. I was asking myself all the time, could I still be an educator with that problem? I said to myself ''Of course you can! But you will need to work hard''. One evening I was literally having a panic attack because I was not sure where I was going with my homework. At this moment, I was not able to calm myself. I had to write a 1000 word text for my Philosophy course. This kind of problem happened to me a lot in high school and that is why I did not register for College right away because I did not have any confidence in myself. My best friend has always been there for me. Over time, I realise that she was my solution, I was panicking and I did not know what to do, she called me and I calmed myself down. Without realise it after 30 minutes on the phone, half of my job was done. Sometimes we just need someone to help us see things more clearly. For me, it was simple and obvious that my best friend was my key.
Choice 1 : Overcome my generalized anxiety disorder.
