My careers to become a physical Education teacher up to university.

My beginning at secondary.

I went to La Samare for my secondary. When I arrived in grade nine, I had an important choice to make for my future.

Choice 1 : Take my math.

Choice 2 : Go in the same classes of my friends and not taking my math.

Math

Take my math.

When I got to the first math class, I was really confused. The teacher told us that throughout the year we are going to have a lot of exams, and we have to take notes in each class. In my head I said to myself that I was in the wrong place. Class passed and more and more as it progressed I felt class was not for me. The deadline for dropping out of class came up, so I had to decide if I stay or not, and I decided to stay. To be successful I knew I had to take notes and do my homework, but I found it very difficult.

Choice 1 : I take my math, I do all my homework and I take notes.

Choice 2 : I take my math, but instead of doing my homework, I play video games with my friend.

Math

Go in the same classes of my friends, and not taking my math.

The math class seemed too difficult for me, so I decided to follow my friends and quit the class. Classes with my friends were amazing, we enjoyed going to school. However, the teachers didn't like us very much because we were a bit disturbing. As the year went on, my friends started to stop coming to the less important class and go to the skate park instead. I had never skipped classes in high school and didn't want to start dropping out of school, but the temptation to join my friends at the skate park was very obvious.

Choice 1 : I don't take my math, but I have great note, and I perform well at school.

Choice 2 : I don't take my math, and I'm not going to my classes because school has become my second priority.

friends

I take my math, I do all my homework and I take notes.

I finally decided to take charge and force myself into my math class. I knew it was a blow to give for my future and to make my dream job. During my math lessons, I listened intently to the teacher and took all the necessary notes. I finished the school year with a nice mark on my report card, and I was proud of myself. I continued in the same way in grade eleven. Although the subject was more difficult in my last year of high school, I still managed to pass the course easily with an 86% mark in math.

Choice 1 : I get easy accepted to cegep.

Choice 2 : I don't know which program to choose at cegep.

homework

I take my math, but instead of doing my homework, I play video games with my friend.

The math class was starting to be very demanding for me. I had difficulty paying attention in class and taking notes. The first exam of the year were atrocious, and so were my results. I knew I had to put in some effort to pass the course, but I was unable to study and do homework at home. I preferred to spend my time in front of the TV playing video games with my friends. The last exam of the year had a lot of marks, and I had to pass it, so it took me a long time studying and doing my homework. I finally passed the exam, and during my year of grade eleven was more studious.

Choice 1 : I finally finished my secondary school, and I go to cegep.

Choice 2 : I get accepted to cegep, but I'm tired of school so a go in a DEP.

video game

I don't take my math, but I have great note, and I perform well at school.

I decided not to take my math but to attend school and my goals were to easily pass all of my classes. During the school year, I was with all of my friends, and we had a lot of classes together. In class, at times, I was disturbing, but at home I made every effort to get good marks on my exams. I finished the school year with the best grades in the class, I was really happy and looked forward to my last year of high school. In my last year, I did the same things I did the year before, so I was ready to face cegep.

Choice 1 : The divorce of my parents.

Choice 2 : I go to the cegep.

good grades

I don't take my math, and I'm not going to my classes because school has become my second priority.

I couldn't resist the temptation to go with my friends to the skate park. Now, all the classes that I thought were unimportant in school, I didn't go. I was going to join my new group of friends at the skate park, and we were having fun. Some of the people in this group of friends were taking weed when we were at the skate park. I fully knew that drugs were unhealthy, but my friends seemed to take pleasure taking it. My mom, who works in the health care industry, always told me that drug addiction is strong, and it takes just once to get hooked. One day my friend suggested that I try smoking a joint with them and decided to give it a try.

Choice 1 : My first join.

Choice 2 : I retook the control of myself.

I get easy accepted to cegep, and I know in which program to go.

When I arrived at cegep, I had a specific goal which was to graduate and after go to university and after do my dream job of teaching physical Education. Knowing what to do later, I also knew which program to go to cegep. So, I followed the program I wanted. I wasn't too happy with the classes I had at cegep, but I knew it was the easiest and fastest way to become a physical Education teacher. I persevered and got good grades throughout my cegep.

Choice 1 : I graduated from cegep.

I finally finished my secondary school, and I go to cegep.

It was tough, but I finally finished high school. I had a bad habit of playing video games every night of the week while I was in high school, and this habit followed me to cegep. Instead of starting my work ahead of time, I played with my friends in front of the TV. I found spending time playing with my friends more important than doing my homework. The grades I was accumulating in cegep weren't very good and that put me off. I knew that to go to university in the program I wanted I needed good grades, but I had a hard time putting in the effort at home.

Choice 1 : I don't get accepted in the program I want at university.

I don't know which program to choose at cegep.

I knew the effort I had to put in to be successful in school, and I knew I was able to get good grades when I wanted. What I didn't know was the program I wanted to go to cegep in. My field of interest was very broad which complicated things even more. I knew some friends who went to the same school as me, but I wasn't sure if I should take the same program as them and not know if I was going to like it. The deadline for choosing our program had arrived, and I didn't know what to do anymore, but took a program I think I was going to like.

Choice 1 : I choose a program.

I don't know

I get accepted to cegep, but I'm tired of school so a go in a DEP.

At the end of my high school I enrolled in the program I wanted to go to cegep. The summer passed, and I realized that I really didn't want to go to school, especially knowing that cegep was harder than high school. Speaking with my friend, who was in a DEP, I realized that I was interested in a trade that you can do by going through a DEP, so I enrolled in the DEP. I knew that the DEP was much more practical than theoretical compared to the cegep course and this aspect of the program interested me.

Choice 1 : I finished my DEP.

The divorce of my parents.

When I finished high school, I intended to go to cegep and carry on with my life as I hoped. A tragic moment has passed in my life, which is the divorce of my parents. For some year, but parents often quarreled for unnecessary reasons. My sisters and I were worried that our parents would get divorced and that moment has arrived. I was so upset and couldn't imagine my life having parents divorced. So, I decided to take a year off because I couldn't imagine being able to perform well in school with two parents who couldn't live together.

Choice 1 : My life after the divorce of my parents.

divorce

I go to the cegep.

My year in high school was amazing. I was with my friends in classes, I had good grades, and I knew which program to go to cegep. I didn't have my math, so it wasn't all the programs available to me. Since I was in grade eight that I knew what I wanted to do for a job later on and to do the CEGEP program related to this job, we didn't need our math, so my situation was perfect. When it came time to register for the cegep, I enrolled in the program I wanted, but I was terrified of the grade level at cegep.

Choice 1 : It was very difficult, but I finally graduated from cegep.

My first joint.

As I had my first joint, I felt bad doing it because I figured my mom was going to be extremely mad at me and disappointed as well. My friends watched me take the joint and several laughed as I was coughing and choking. Within minutes of smoking for the first time, I didn't really feel the effects. It was after thirty minutes that my head started to spin, and I started to laugh at everything I saw. I didn't stop laughing. All of my problems miraculously disappeared while using these drugs, so I took a liking to smoke.

Choice 1 : The influence of my first join.

drugs

I retook the control of myself.

I was really not proud of myself. I had bad grades, hardly went to school anymore and my parents were very disappointed with their son, I had to take back control of myself, but I didn't know how, so I asked for help. Help from a psychologist. The help I have received has helped me immensely and allowed me to become the boy I was again. The psychologist advised me to change friends, which I did, and he also told me to find myself a passion something that I would like to do in my spare time. It’s when I started playing hockey again. So, I took back control of my life and everything started to get better.

I graduated from cegep.

The grades I had at cegep made me extremely proud. I knew I was going to be accepted into the university of my choice. Since I knew the job I wanted to do later, I wanted to go to Laval University in Quebec. I had heard of this university and absolutely wanted to go. I finally got my college degree, so I might wonder about joining college. I couldn't wait to change schools and programs. In cegep, it wasn't necessarily classes that I liked, but I knew in college I was going to like my program and the classes I was going to have.

graduated

I don't get accepted in the program I want at university.

I didn't really put any effort into my study and cegep work. So, I finished my cegep with low marks. I still managed to get my college diploma, but unfortunately I was not accepted into the program I wanted to go to in college. That moment, when I received the letter telling me that I was refused, was very difficult for me. I immediately regretted the wasted time I spent watching TV with my friends instead of doing my homework. I told myself that I should have put more effort into my studies which would have allowed me to do the job I wanted.

I choose a program.

I decided to go for a very large program which would allow me to have more choices for my future profession. I knew I didn't want to go to a health setting, but more to a social setting. So, I enrolled in Social Sciences. A friend of mine was already enrolled in this program, so we were going to have all of our classes together, which made me happy. During my first year of school, I realized that I wanted to go to an environment where sport is present. I immediately think of a physical Education teacher.

I finished my DEP.

I righted in telling myself that I was going to enjoy being in a DEP. I really liked having more practical and less theoretical lessons. I couldn't imagine being in cegep and still doing homework. I also made new friends which made my DEP even more enjoyable. I finished my DEP and I could finally get into the job market. My father's friend owned a company related to the DEP I had just completed, so I got a job right away when I left school. I have no regrets about doing a DEP and I believe it was one of the best decisions of my life.

My life after the divorce of my parents.

After my parents divorced, I was really confused. I didn't know what to do with my life anymore. I went one week to my mom's and the other to my dad's. Both of my parents lived far from each other which made it even more complicated. I hardly ever saw my sisters anymore, because when I was with my father they were with my mother and when I was with my mother they were with my father. Not seeing my sisters anymore affected me greatly as well. I got used to my new life that I had no choice but to take and decided to go back to school.

It was very difficult, but I finally graduated from cegep.

I righted to fear the grade level in cegep. My first two weeks at cegep made me realize that maybe I was in the wrong place. The teachers told us how many hours we had to put into our homework to do well in the course and that scared me. I, despite the fear, decided to continue and give my 100% in each class and realized that when you put in the effort and the time to pass the results are satisfactory. After long hours in my bedroom doing homework and envying people who didn't have school, I finally graduated from college.

The influence of my first join.

Ever since I had my first joint, every night and every time I wasn't in school, I went with my friends to either the skate park or their house to smoke. I had become addicted to drugs and in my head everything was normal. My parents didn't know I smoked until they caught me smoking alone in my room. It was then that my parents realized how much their son had changed that, and that he had become a different person. My parents worried a lot about me and tried to find solutions, but nothing worked. So, I ended my life working in a factory 40 hours a week for the minimum wages.
