Finally! My education at the CEGEP is over and it is now time to choose my future career at the university. After spending some time to choose the best options available, I came up with three possibilities: medicine, pharmacy and biology. Making a decision between those programs is very hard. I would like to become a doctor since I am very young, but my grades are very average and this program is filled with a lot of very intelligent students. I would like to be a pharmacist because I love to learn about organic chemistry and there is some theory on human body. Last but not least, biology is something I am very passionate about. Indeed, the anatomy of other life forms is very close to the humans.
Choice 1 : Pharmacy
Choice 2 : Biology
Choice 3 : Medicine
Pharmacy was a very good choice. I enjoyed my years at the university learning about the different drugs and their effects on the human body. I also had very good grades and developed great relationships with my classmates and pharmacists that have been working in different fields. One of those pharmacists asked me to work at his place. He works in a laboratory that is leading the search of a vaccine to cure the COVID-19 disease. An other one is a good friend of many important people in the United States, and he told me that one of his good friends is looking for a pharmacist specialized in beauty products. Which offer should I accept?
Choice 1 : Find a vaccine for the COVID-19
Choice 2 : Design cosmetic products in the United States
After a few years working in the laboratory, I did it. I found a vaccine for the COVID-19 pandemic that was approved by the World Health Organization. Everything was going great, until something bad occurred. The vaccine was very effective, but only for a short period. It was sold too quickly and I did not have the time to check the long term effects. A couple of years after the global vaccination program, people started to notice an important raise of cancer cases. Something in the vaccine was creating an anomaly during cell reproduction which causes cancer. It killed nearly half of the global population and it was all my fault.
Choice 1 : The end
At first, accepting this job was a good idea. The pharmacist's friend in question was Joe Biden, the president of the United States. For a few years, I was in charge of developing new cosmetics to help the president look good in front of the media. I was very rich and happy, but one day I made a crucial mistake. I was tired and made the wrong recipe for the president's shampoo. I poured too much salicylic acid. A few days later, Mr.Bidden started to lose his hair, and he was furious when he learned that it was entirely my fault. Two weeks later, he became bald and fired me. I was pursued by the president's lawyers and had to give away my fortune because they won.
Choice 1 : The end
I knew it! My grades were not good enough to enter the medicine program. I should have asked more questions to my teachers about the homework we had to do. Now, I have to wait until next year to apply for another program because I was too stubborn to see the truth. Until then, I will find a job to earn some money.
Choice 1 : The end
Biology was very fun. I enjoyed learning things about animals and plants. I also had very good grades which helped me to receive two very interesting offers for a job. The first offer is to work in a zoo with a lot of different animal species. The second offer is to study the latest discovered species of Canada's flora. Which offer should I consider the most?
Choice 1 : Working in a zoo
Choice 2 : Study the flora of Canada
My life was an absolute success after choosing the zoo. I enjoyed working with different animals. I learned a lot during my time at the zoo. The most important thing that I have learned is that certain species of animals are very dangerous to work with. One day, as I was feeding the lion, he took a bite of my arm while eating his steak. When I tried to wrestle to free myself from his mouth, it roared (onomatopoeia) and leaped on me and attacked me until someone shot him with the tranquilizer dart. As a result, I am now an amputee and disfigured. My daily life is now more difficult and I am not able to work because of my lack of mobility.
Choice 1 : The end
Studying the flora of Canada was a rewarding experience. I had the chance to travel a lot across the states of Canada to study new organisms. One day, a guy in Alberta called us because he wanted us to check an invasive mushroom species. After some research, my team and I found that this specific type of mushroom was producing toxic spores that were able to kill humans after breathing a certain quantity. In fact, the spores were able to block the respiratory system and prevent the lungs from working normally. As the weeks were progressing, we were receiving more and more calls about this mushroom species and it looked like it was invading the entire globe. For me, all it took was one month to create a product that was able to kill those mushrooms and their spores to avoid a new pandemic. I became famous and very rich after my discovery.
