The beginning.

My two years of college are finally over. I successfully completed my DEC in Sciences de la Nature, and I am ready to move on to the next step of my life. After some thinking, I decide to either go to the University of Montreal to become a veterinarian or to stop school and follow my dream of becoming a professional hockey player.

Choice 1 : Go to the University of Montreal to become a veterinarian.

Choice 2 : Stop going to school and follow my dreams of becoming a professional hockey player.

I was accepted in the veterinarian program of the University of Montreal. Five more years of school and studying and I will be able to do my dream job. I wake up the morning of my first day of university. I drive from my apartment to the campus and I enter the classroom for my first class. I look around the classroom and it is already almost full of students. There are two spots left, one at the very front of the class and the other all the way at the back of the class.

Choice 1 : Sit at the back of the class.

Choice 2 : Sit in the front of the class.

Stop going to school and follow my dream of becoming a professional hockey player.

I decide that school is not for me. I am sick and tired of sitting in a classroom and studying. So, I decide to focus all my attention on hockey. I always have been a good hockey goaltender. Having plenty of free time now that school is all in the past, I put all my focus in training to become the best goaltender I can be. I start to go to the gym to get in good physical shape. I begin to choose my food carefully to eat healthier. I eat food that are rich in proteins to get the best results in my training on and off the ice. After two years of hard work and dedication, NHL scouts finally notice me and I get drafted by the Tampa Bay Lightning. I begin my career as a professional goalie, and everything is going incredible. I quickly become one of the best goaltenders of the NHL. Two years later, on a normal Wednesday, the coach tells the team that today's practice is optional. I wonder if I should go to the practice or if I should take a day off.

Choice 2 : Skip the practice and rest.

I go to the practice hoping to get some extra time on the ice. We have a confrontation against the Pittsburgh Penguins next game and I need to be ready. It is a normal practice, and we start doing the same hockey drills as usual. During one of those drills, I get into an accidental collision with my teammate. When I stand back up, I feel a sharp pain in my neck and I see that I am bleeding heavily. The next thing I know, I am rushed to the nearest hospital. The doctors try their best, but during the collision, my teammate's skate severed my carotid artery. I already lost a lot of blood, and I die in the hospital.

Skip the practice and rest.

I decide to skip the practice to rest. However, the next couple of games, I perform poorly. The coach decides to keep me on the bench for the next games and, two weeks later, I get traded to the Calgary Flames. My first day in Calgary, I need to go to the arena for my first practice with my new team. I decide to go to the practice by foot because I live close to the arena. On my way there, I get to an intersection and I can't remember if I need to go to the left or to the right.

Choice 1 : Go to the right.

Choice 2 : Go to the left.

Go to the right.

I decide to go to the right. Turns out, it is not the right way, so I turn around. While crossing an intersection on my way back, I get distracted by a kid screaming to its mom. Startled, I look back at the kid and BANG! (onomatopoeia). A bus comes out of nowhere and runs me over. I never stood a chance.

I turn left at the intersection. I quickly arrive at the arena. I meet my new teammates and the chemistry between us is already strong. We have a record-breaking season, and we win the Stanley Cup. I keep playing professional hockey till I am 34 years old where injuries force me to retire. At the time of my retirement, I hold many franchise records, and I am known as a sport's legend in Calgary.

I sit at the back of the class next to a gorgeous girl named Jenny. After class, we start talking, and we immediately become friends. Four months later, our relationship goes to the next level, and we start going out. A year later, after a night with a little bit too much alcohol, I discover that Jenny is pregnant. I need to decide between my family and my career.

I get my degree and become a veterinarian. Jenny had to drop out of the program to take care of the baby. This is causing a lot of fights between us because it was also her dream to be a vet and seeing me living her dream is hurting her a lot. We decide that it is better for us to break up. I get to see my child every two weeks. Jenny and I are still on good terms. I got my dream job, but it cost me my family.

Jenny and I drop out of school to take care of the baby. Two years later, we get married. Money is always a little short. We live a life with a strict budget to respect. We are trying to save some money to buy a house and a better car for Jenny, but the cost related to the baby are enormous. So, we hired a professional to help us with our finances. He helped us establish a plan to manage our money. We made a plan that will help us buy a house, a car and to help us reimburse our students loan. We live a happy life even if is it not a wealthy life. We always need to be careful with our money. We need to save money for a long time to have a little luxury like a vacation. However, I got Jenny and Emma (the child), and I couldn't be happier.

I choose to sit at the front of the class. I quickly become one of the best students of my class. Five years later, I graduate and become a veterinarian. I absolutely love my job. A couple of years later, I meet a girl, and we get married. We have three children and we live a wonderful life.
