Hi, my name is Maria, and I am currently studying in the Natural Sciences program. Who I want to become in the future as a professional is not settled in my mind yet, but I still have to choose. My university admission application has to be sent today, but I am still facing a white sheet. Should I become a doctor or a psychologist? This question has been in my head for months now.
Choice 1 : Become a Doctor.
Choice 2 : Become a Psychologist.

For the first time in my whole life, I really feel like I am in the right place. I learn new fascinating information every day and I really feel like I have chosen the right path for my future. The large concept of medicine is not a secret for me anymore. I have started to practice some of my brand-new skills on some people who have donated their corpse to science. At the beginning, I have accidentally made a hole in someone's heart and my teacher was not really happy about it. After this event, I have taken some private lessons with my favorite teacher, Peter, and I can certify that I am now the best student of my entire class. However, I have not told Peter yet because I truly appreciate the time that we spend together. In fact, I think that I have fallen in love with him. The problem is that I am already in a relationship with Matt, who has been my boyfriend for three years now. I am supposed to go visit him next weekend, but my heart wants to stay here with Peter. Should I follow the schedule and visit Matt or should I follow my heart and stay here with Peter?
Choice 1 : Choose Peter.
Choice 2 : Choose Matt.
When I was in college, my class about psychology was one of my favorite. Discovering the different parts and functions of the brain was a passion for me. This interest has followed me to the university. Last week, while I was studying in the cafeteria for my upcoming final exam, I received a phone call from the hospital of Sherbrooke. The doctor told me that my mother had a big car accident and that I needed to come to the hospital as soon as I could. The only problem was that my exam was beginning in ten minutes and that my teacher as been more than clear about the fact that, except if we died, we would have zero if we missed this exam. I had a big dilemma. Should I go to the hospital and miss my exam, or should I let my mother alone even if she needs me?
Choice 1 : Go To the Hospital.
Choice 2 : Do My Exam.
My idea to reveal my love to my teacher did not go as I planned. After spending almost six hours on the phone with Matt to tell him that I would not visit him this weekend, I ran to my teacher's office with a feeling of excitement and fear at the same time. I was about to knock on his door when a child opened it instead. My teacher was standing there with a beautiful woman and a little baby in his arms. I was devastated. As if it were not enough, I realized that my teacher was wearing a ring on his left hand. I do not understand why I have never noticed this ring before. I should have known that he was already engaged with someone. I could not hold my tears any longer. I left the office as fast as I could and locked myself in the bathroom to cry. The only sentence that came to my mind was, " Why was I so stupid?" From this moment, I have never talked to this teacher again and I try to focus on my studies instead of focusing on men.

This morning, I woke up with the sound a rooster signing, "cock-a-doodle Doo" [onomatopoeia] at six o'clock in the morning. My boyfriend, Matt, has been living on a farm since he was born. It is crystal clear in his mind that, in the future, this farm will be his. That is something that I admire about him. He always knows what he wants and what will be the best for him. I believe that he inherited this quality from his mother. She is a strong woman who has never hesitated to put her happiness and success before everything else. Speaking about his mother, I was happy to see her this weekend because, since she is newly diabetic, I knew that I could practice my new expertise with her. I have started by giving her some advice about her nutrition. She needs to eat a lot of fiber and to avoid eating too much sugar. If she does not do that, in the future, it can result in some severe liver and kidney illnesses. I have also practiced my skills about injection with her insulin. Altogether, I enjoyed my weekend with my in-laws and, especially, with Matt. I think that I have made the right decision by choosing to spend some time with my boyfriend. I have realized that I am really in love with him.

The best option for me was to take care of my mother. She has always been there for me since I was a child, so I thought that it was my turn to be there for her. When I arrived at the hospital, the doctor told me that her operation has been a success and that she was in perfect health. She only had a broken arm and some bruises. I bought some flowers and headed to her room. She was so happy to see me. When I saw her face, I knew that I had made the right decision. I can afford a failure in one class if my mother is happy. If she is happy, I am happy.
Choice 1 : My College Years.
During my exam, I could not stop thinking about my mother. I was wondering if she was injured a lot. Actually, I was thinking about her when my teacher announced that there were only thirty minutes left. I have not done half of the exam yet! The only thing I could think about was my mother's condition. I started crying and my teacher asked me what was going on. I explained what happened to my mother, and he told me that I should have chosen to go see her. He was just joking when he told us that any reason was not enough to miss this exam. He agreed to allow me to do the exam later. As he was finishing his sentence, I was already running to go see my mother at the hospital. When I got there, I was so happy to see her alive. Next time, I will know that nothing is more important than my family.
