Early days.

I am currently undergoing the process of choosing a company to apply for a traineeship. I am finalizing my third year of Multimedia Integration technique. This field of study consist of things you see on your computer, design, coding, animation, programming. I have to choose between two companies, the first sells advertising designs, the second does web pages, which one should I pick?

Choice 1 : Coding company.

So yesterday, I started working as an intern for Webco, which is the web coding company, I am currently working on learning the ropes in a real company, also, I have to learn the office politics. The woman that has been issued with the task of showing me around and making sure I know policies is named Margot , she hinted me as the flirtatious type, she offered me to go take a drink after work.

Having the luxury of being asked out by one of the rare attractive female in my field, how could I say no. The conversation was basically her telling me the gossips between co-workers, since I have only officially met her, having this information should not be trouble so I might as well ask a couple questions about the boss so I can know what to expect.

I learned that the boss's breath smelled horrible and I should not mention this subject at work since he is not tolerable. The next day, at work I had to go to the bathroom, I chatted with the man that was in the stall next to me. I thought it would be funny for the man if I said, "I wonder if the boss's breath stinks worst than this bathroom." The next thing I know, that man is out of the stall with angry eyes and tells me he is the boss and that my internship is over.

She explained to me that if he likes me, I will pass my internship for sure. She said, just submit your work in advance and pay attention to the project's overall details and he will positively notice you. The next day I made sure to cautiously review all my work and submitted it in advance. The boss instantly liked my attitude. I just have to do this until I finish the internship.

After politely declining Margot's invitation, I went in the cafeteria and saw someone I knew who was also an intern here, we compared each other's work, we noticed that we do similar things in terms of work here. So we taught, should we help each other to not end up getting sucked in the work load.

We ended up doing this 5-7 times a week and it affected enormously our productivity, we knew more about the projects and impressed everyone with our skills. We both ended up passing the internship with ease.

Advertising design.

Soon after starting this design internship, I ended up making friends with the owner because it was a small company. Even as an intern I was creatively valuable to their team, before even finishing the internship, he asked me if I wanted to have a permanent job there.
