I'm finishing my first year in the Anthropology field at McGill University. I know that at the end of the year, I will have to take an internship. I am thinking about doing an on-the-job-training in Egypt, where I know I will learn a lot of things since there are great archaeological sites. I also know that there's a site near where I live, which will help me stay close to my family. Which OJT should I take?
Choice 1 : The internship in Egypt.
Choice 2 : Take the internship near where I live.

After finishing all the theory of Anthropology that could come in handy and having straight A's in almost all of my exams, it is now time to go to Egypt as a trainee to learn more about the aboriginal Egyptians and learn more about their culture. After only one week, I am making new friends, and I'm starting to have a crush on one of my colleagues called Shawn. I don't know what to do, should I tell him that I like him or should I wait until my feelings calm down?
Choice 1 : Tell Shawn my feelings.
Choice 2 : Keep my feelings for myself until they calm down.
After doing some flirtation with Shawn, I decide to confess my feelings toward him. Then, he thoroughly kisses me. After a while, I want to pull out, but he won't let me. I am starting to feel really sucked up in, and he's starting to be really insistent. I don't know what to do, should I slap him or continue and act like it doesn't bother me?
Choice 1 : Slap Shawn.
Choice 2 : Act likes it doesn't bother me.
I decide to slap my perpetrator, and suddenly he stops. I am trying to explain to him that I don't want things to go quickly, that I want to take my time, and that I don't want people to know that we are together since we are both in an internship. He agrees, ask for my forgiveness towards his misconduct, then go to his dorm. I don't know what to do, should I keep my distance with him or should I continue to flirt with him even if it could get me fired of my internship?
Choice 1 : Keep my distance with Shawn.
Choice 2 : Continue to flirt with him even if it can get me fired of my internship.
I decide to take the internship near where I live. I know that some new unknown specimen could show how a culture got extinct, which is really promising for the Anthropology field. It may be some aboriginal clan that can help us retrace a whole new culture and way of life! It is really exciting for me, if I can be able to study the specimen myself, do a thesis about it, and it can help me have a foot in the door for my career as an anthropologist. This stage can be really worthwhile. After my first day here, not only do they tell me that during my stay here I have to sleep in a dorm, but I am also starting to understand that this "unknown specimen" was just a scam, in reality there's no skull involved, just some neolithic weapons. I don't know what to do, should I continue my internship or go to Egypt to complete it?
Choice 1 : Continue the internship near where I live.
Choice 2 : Go to Egypt to continue my internship.
Nevertheless, I decide to keep the internship near where I live and learn the ropes of Anthropology. After two days, I am starting to feel sexually harassed by my co-worker. He's always trying to get me alone, so he can flirt with me. He does not understand that I am not interested. Every day, I dread his appearance. I decide to never be alone in my work environment. I talk about it with one of my friends, and she tells me that she is also living the same thing with him. Also, she tells me that we should go talk to our boss, so he can stop bothering us. This situation affects both of us and it is maddening us not only because we are in danger, but also because more often than not, women are sexually harassed and don't tell anything, and we don't want to be part of the statistics. The thing is that I feel guilty. I don't want to feel guilty of something I have no control of and I want to tell my boss the truth, but the only thing is that he blackmailed us not to tell anything, so we are a little bit scared. I don't know what to do.
Choice 1 : Tell my boss that a man is sexually harassing my friend and I.
Choice 2 : Be scared and not tell anything to my boss.
I am starting to be scared and I decide not to tell anything to my boss. At nighttime, I am hearing someone trying to enter inside my dorm. I am telling myself that it is just the wind, but I am starting to have doubts. I see my perpetrator in front of me, and he is trying to rape me! What an audacity! At this exact moment, I am really pissed and scared, I don't know how should I react.
Choice 1 : Scream at the top of my lungs.
Choice 2 : Give him a knee kick.
I am screaming at the top of my lungs. The harasser is covering his ear, and someone enters the room quickly. When he sees the raper, he quickly takes him off of me, and to an unknown place. At this point, everybody is awake and my friend is rushing towards me. I explain everything to her and she hugs me tightly. After everything calms down, my savior comes back to make sure if I am okay, and I am starting to feel butterflies in my tummy. I feel like this is the beginning of an incredible love story.
Choice 1 : The beginning.
I decide to keep my distance with Shawn. I don't want our relationship to evolve too quickly. I decide to focus more on my career than on him. I don't want to be distracted because this internship is really important to me, and to my career as well. I am starting to do some qualitative research on some new specimens. The rituals of this clan are impacting the development of the skull, which could be a sign of a religion. The research is fascinating and taking all the thoughts about Shawn out of my mind. During lunch, I am noticing Shawn flirting with another girl. It's literally breaking my heart. I know that I am putting him aside and hindering him by using all my time working. I don't know if I should focus more on him or on my career.
Choice 1 : Focus more on Shawn.
Choice 2 : Stay focus on my career.
I choose to focus more on Shawn. After all, I really like him and I don't want him to be with another girl. During one of our kissing sessions, my boss enters the room and catch us red-handed. He tells us to pack our things and go, because it is against office politics to be in a relationship with a coworker in a workplace during work hours. We are both fired of our internship, but it was worthwhile because I am with the love of my life.
Choice 1 : The beginning.
I decide to focus more on my career. I am slowly starting to overwhelm myself with all my work and overtime. I don't feel very good, I am starting to see little white stars, and I feel like I am going to pass out. After passing out in the lab, two hours pass before someone finds me. I wake up in the hospital. I feel all the tiredness that I accumulate during this internship. The doctor tells me that I am making a burn out. He orders me to stop immediately my internship because it is ruining my health. I decide to drop out of school.
Choice 1 : The beginning.
I decide not to say anything to Shawn and keep my feelings for myself. I am doing a lot of leg work to avoid him as much as I can. I have to focus more on my career. During all the internships, I did a lot of hard work. Ignoring Shawn is making me stronger and able to be more focus on school and on my future. Years later, I am now a successful anthropologist fulfilled with joy and happiness.
Choice 1 : The beginning.
I decide to act like it doesn't bother me and continue. It is starting to escalate quickly, so I feel less and less comfortable. Fortunately, my friend find us and get me out of this awkward situation. I say goodbye and go to my dorm. My friends want us to stay up until late, but I have a lot of things to do in the morning and if I feel tired, I may not do them well. I don't know what to do.
Choice 1 : Stay up until late at night.
Choice 2 : Go to sleep.
I decide to stay up until late at night with my friend watching a movie and gossiping about a lot of things. I forget to set my alarm, and I didn't wake up to do my tasks. We have a very strict policy in the workplace and not doing the tasks can be a reason to be fired. My boss is expecting a lot from me, and I am proving him wrong by not doing my duties and prioritizing something not important. My boss is really disappointed in me, and he chooses to fire me. After being fired from my internship, I change the program I am in, and decide to be a dental technician.
Choice 1 : The beginning.
I tell my friend that I can't stay up until late at night because I have a lot of things to do. She tells me that she understand, and we go to sleep. After I wake up, I go to finish all of my duties and by the end of the day, I am the recipient of an offer to a premium wage for my time management and my overtime. I am as happy as I can be.
Choice 1 : The beginning.
I decide to give him a good knee kick! At that moment I am so happy that my parents forced me to take karate class when I was younger! He quickly gets on his legs and go running towards the exit. I am running after him, because this time he went too far. People are starting to get out of their dorms with sleepy eyes, waking up because of the sound of my footsteps. Finally, one girl make him trip using her feet, and the perpetrator finishes his race with his face hitting the floor. Without realizing it, my mouth starts bubbling words, and I am explaining the whole situation. The police arrives and take the boy with them. I am happy because I know that now, other potential victims are safe since he is in jail.
Choice 1 : The beginning.
I decide to continue flirting with Shawn despite the fact that it can get me fired. I think that he is an important part of my life. I am ready to take risks being with him. One week later, me and Shawn are becoming very close. Our boss sees us together a lot on a daily basis, but one day he sees us flirting. He then tells us that he's not going to fire us because we are doing reliable work, but that he's going to separate us. He puts me in another district, to a dead-end job. Even after considering the compensation package, with poor benefits, I still love the job and decide to make it my career.
Choice 1 : The beginning.
I take a resolution and decide to go talk about it with my boss. I go to his office with my friend by my side. We are both shy because our boss is someone very strict, and he scares us. Anyway, in front of his workroom she talks to me about the fact she is starting to feel a little bit dizzy. I tell her to take a deep breath and reassure her that it is not something worth to be sick about. She then tells me that she feel like throwing up. I quickly knock my boss's door, as she pass out in my arms. I don't know what to do, should I explain everything to my boss at the first place or wait for her to wake up?
Choice 1 : Explain everything to my boss.
Choice 2 : Wait for my friend to wake up.
I choose to tell everything to my boss, while waiting for my friend to wake up. At first, he asks me about my homo habilis research, and my thesis about their relation to the shamanism. After giving him an update about my work, I start explaining the situation my friend and I are in. He begins to be very confused, and he didn't believe me. He tells me that lying about someone can put me in jail. I tell him that I would never lie about something that important. He calls the assailant and asks him to come to his office. As he sits, the "assaulter" proceeds to tell a whole different story, saying that I am the one obsessed with him. My boss then tells me that I am fired, because of the lack of evidences against the man. I try to tell my boss that my friend has a similar story, but he won't listen to me and asks me to get out of his office. As I am in the corridor, I turn back for the last time and see through the transparent window my assaulter giving money to my boss. He is bribing him! I don't care after all, because I don't have an internship anymore.
Choice 1 : The beginning.
I decide to wait for my friend to wake up before explaining our situation. When my boss opens the door, I quickly order him to call the nursery. Two nurses are coming my way with a stretcher, so I tell him that I will come later. After waiting two hours for my friend to wake up in the infirmary, I decide to get up and get two cups of coffee. When I come back, I see my friend wide awake. She tells me that she is ready to talk to our director about our situation. We choose to call our chief and ask him if there's a possibility to come at the infirmary since my friend is weak and our situation is serious. After explaining to him that we are sexually harassed by our co-worker, he turns out to be super understanding of the situation and confess that, after doing a background check he was skeptic of the man behaviors but his superior told him to accept it regardless. Now that he have proof of the despicable conduct of the man, he can fire him and talk to the police. He thanks us for our courage, and he tells us that he will provide us a full-time job at the end of our studies.
