My Undecided Journey.

Career Day for High School Students.

This year is my first year in High School and I'm so excited and scared at the same time to be a part of the big ones now. My big sister it's already in grade nine now, her friends are way older than me and I don't want them to think that I'm the annoying little sister kind if I hang around too much, so I need to make my own friends. Mom always told me to have friends who are super intelligent and who will influenced me in the good way. Until grade nine I was friends with smarter people than me, I would spend more time having fun in books studying with them than having real fun hanging outside like everybody else in my classes. However, those passed years were the ones that I failed the most for some reason. Then, career day was allowed for us, I knew exactly what I wanted to be in the future and where I wanted to study : I've always wanted to study in UCLA, University California Los Angeles. I've totally forgotten College existed first. Since a young age I've always wanted to be so many things at the same time : Nurse, Singer, Cook Chef, Actor, Teacher, Accountant, Dentist, Detective, Officer and much more. You can tell I've watched movies a lot... Career Day never made it easier for me because that's when I've understood grades was involved. My grades never let me make the choice I wanted.

Choice 1 : Work harder and get better grades.

Choice 2 : Not care at all and just let time do its thing.

College application.

This passed two years, I've been working harder to get better grades. I don't have straights A's but my grades are higher than it used to be years before. It's finally my last year in high school! Which means: Graduation, Prom but especially COLLEGE. I have no idea of what program I should apply to, I'm more than lost. I don't even know if I should do a technique or a pre-university program. I know I've been working hard but I'm scared that my grades aren't good enough to get into college. What if I don't get accepted? Mom is going to kill me! I should put less pressure on me but I really don't want to regret my decision. Wait... which College am I going to apply to?

Choice 1 : Ahuntsic College.

Choice 2 : Dawson College.

Choice 3 : Assomption College.

Ahuntsic College.

My big sister goes to Ahuntsic College and I always liked to follow my big sister's steps for some reason. So here I am applying to Ahuntsic College in Springboard to a DSC because it still gives me an opportunity to make a decision that I won't regret. Even though it's far from my house, I'll definitely like to "travel" to school. Ahuntsic was the only college that I've felt comfortable at its Open house. Alright it's all fun and all but I still have to decide a program...

Choice 1 : Social Science.

Choice 2 : Diagnostic Imaging.

Choice 3 : Radiation Oncology.

Choice 4 : Accounting and Management Technology.

Ahuntsic College.

Dawson College.

Since my UCLA dream was hard and far to get, I've always wished to study at Dawson College. I've been five years in a linguistic program so why not continue my studies in English? I knew it was far from my house but I've always felt like it was my place to be. I went to Dawson's Open House and I totally felt in loved with the Tim Horton's inside because I'm working at Tim Horton's. Also, it's right next to the Alexis Nihon Complex, I always go shopping during my breaks. Anyway I don't think I'll stay here too long, it's not my place, there's too much distraction around.

Choice 1 : Go to Ahuntsic College.

Choice 2 : Start Again.

Choice 3 : Stay.

Dawson College.

Assomption College.

Who really taught this College was one of my choices? I will never go there, I'll rather quit school.

Choice 1 : Quit School.

Choice 2 : Start Again.

Social Science.

I've always had in interest into helping people but I'm not so sure about medicine, I'd rather like to help people with their behaviors and what their going through to life. My friends always come to me when they have problems and told me I was really helpful, so I've decided to apply in Social Science and go to university in two years.

Psychology.

Even though it doesn't look like it, I've always wanted to be a psychologist, but I was always scared to break people than to help them, because I've been through a lot and I've never made it or gone through it by myself. It's a blessing that I'm still here today! But hey, here I am owning my own business helping people individually or in small groups, being a psychologist on the daily and teaching music in my free time.

Diagnostic Imaging.

I have the grades and the prerequisites to get into this program, so I have decided to inform my API, so I could change program. Instead of encouraging me she totally crashed my "dream", I was so interested but now I don't want to go anymore.

Choice 1 : Start Again.

Medical Imaging.

Radiation Oncology.

I had a big interest in Radiation Oncology for a minute, but I don't have all the perquisites to get in, also I'm way too much emotional to be in charge of people suffering from cancer. My mom's big sister died of cancer, she fought like a queen. She was a strong queen and never gave up, we were all there with her as much as we could whenever we could. Us here in Canada her in Virginia it was more than impossible to be all available at the same time to go see her, but we drove the thirteen hours every time we went. I'd rather do something else.

Choice 1 : Start Again.

Radiation Oncology.

Accounting and Management Technology.

When I was in seven grade I wanted to be an accountant and I remember my mom disliking this idea, so I put a line on it. But last semester I thought about it again for some reason, and I was going to apply for Accounting and Management Technology but my best friend's dad completely crashed my "dream" of becoming an accountant. I don't want to be an accountant anymore.

Choice 1 : Start again.

Accounting and Management Technology.

I've decided to stay.

I might not feel like it's my place today but maybe things could change, what if everything gets way different? I would regret my decision my whole life.

Choice 1 : Things got better.

Choice 2 : Things got worse.

Stay Word.

Things got better.

I've decided to stay and today I'm heading to university! My mom and I couldn't have been prouder of myself than we are today. I'm not planning into owning my own business but I still like what I'm doing.

Choice 1 : I MADE IT!!!

Yes!

Things got worse.

I've decided to stay, but I've should have left. I hate what I'm doing today, all this work for this? Have been working at a dead-end job, I I have definitely been experiencing the alienating effects for working for somebody else. Knowing me as a person who doesn't like to be controlled by somebody other than me or controlling people by telling them every single thing to do, I don't think I'll want to own my own business. At first, at my job everything was fine but at the end I was tired of being ordered by the same person all the time. Since I don't want to start a huge business by myself I might as well start a small business that me and family members are gonna own. My family members are the only person I tolerate telling me what to do. Right now at my work I do a lot of overtime and it's exhausting! Why should I be the only one staying late for work? I feel like there's never going to be an end, even though everything I have to do is abolish by the end of the day. Even though I'm not a fan of owning a business I definitely feel like I'm gonna start feeling a sense of fulfillment if I start my own business.

Choice 1 : Start my own business.

No

Retirement.

Working isn't all about just going to work, we need to make this money if we want to have a good life. Good decisions leads to a way easier life. Did you ever though about retirement? I did ! Have imagined my daily drudgery of working coming to an end, made me realize how much my life depends on working. Since I've been working for less than a year I'm not expecting a big amount of a pension if I have to retire, today. My pension payments couldn't lead me to retirement, I might not even be able to pay all of my bills. I'll might be able to pay off my mortgage but not as quick as I would if I was working because I won't have enough money. If today, I'm retiring I wouldn't have sets aside enough money and things would get harder to handle. So, I'll be able to pay off my mortgage only if I find a way to pay it off otherwise the bank will keep having a lien on my house for much longer. I'll definitely miss the drive of work because it'd came to an end way to fast. I was not only working for money but also because I loved my work. I have a passion to help people and being retired took it away. Thinking about it not only showed me that I really do need this money to live but also that our work can become a passion.
