I am currently studying Social Science at the College of Saint-Jérôme and as a future teacher I don't know yet if I want to work in primary education with children who present difficulties or with children who do not.

My mother works in an intermediate resource where several young people with difficulties live there and each month Nicolas, one of the young people from the resource, comes to spend the weekend with me. Since then, I have wondered if I do not prefer to work with children with difficulties or with children without disabilities.

I always love children, that's why I never stop babysitting. Also, every summer I work in a day camp and I love my job. It is for this reason that I want to start my education studies.

It is a great fulfillment for me to be graduated from the university as a teacher in special education primary profile because I find that it is a very rewarding job on a personal and social level.

I love being able to help children with difficulties in order to improve their behavior and knowledge, although I am too sensitive to do this job. Every evening when I get home after a day of work I am sad to see that some children do not have the same luck as others. Already that as a trainee I have difficulty managing my emotions, I cannot imagine having a career in a job where I look forward to my retirement, because this career does not match some of my traits character.

Teaching is a dead-end job for me because I hate my internship. Also, I do not project myself into the future practicing this profession, because many people I met during my internship told me that he felt alienated by the workload, so it would be a drudgery for me to go to work every day knowing that I don't like my job.

Volunteering with people in difficulty is a hobby that I plan to do when I retire or when I have better time management. It is a hobby that will help me enrich myself as a person and that will also help families and caregivers who need it because it is a job that requires a lot of energy and patience.

Working in this area made me want to invest more with young people with special needs. This is why I want to adopt a child with one or more disabilities, in order to offer him all love and patience he deserves, as well as a comforting and safe home.

Following the internships I did during my baccalaureate, I decided to extend my studies at the university, in order to do a master's degree which would allow me to further develop my knowledge on behavioral disorders and neurological diseases.

It can be difficult to make a career choice, so when I finally thought I had found the job of my dreams and that finally during my internship I realized that I didn't like it, I was demoralized and I couldn't see other possibilities which made me very unhappy.
