The first choice.

Next year, I am going at college and I need to know the school I want to go. It's an important choice for me, I want to go to the best school.

Choice 1 : Go to Montmorency College.

Choice 2 : Go to Lionel-Groulx College.

Go to Montmorency College.

I decided to go to Montmorency College in the Nursing program. I live in Laval, so it’s very close to my house. I take the bus every morning and my dad pick me up at night, when I finish. It is the best choice for me and the program in a good one.

Choice 1 : Don't care about it.

Choice 2 : Don't have a life.

Go to Lionel-Groulx College.

Bad choice! The school is far, and I don't know anybody there...

Choice 1 : Go at Montmorency College.

It was the second week of the semester and my teachers had already begun piling on the homework. After dinner, I gave my homework a cursory glance and made a snap decision about my time management. I decided to put aside all of my homework and I will clean my room. I don't really care because I have straight A's. In my room, all the floor was covered by clothes, bags, and books. I will be more effective at that time because I didn't want to do my homework. My mom will be so happy when she arrived, she's so maddening when my bedroom is messy. Two hours later, I cleaned it all thoroughly. I was so tired went went to watch Netflix and I told myself that I would do my homework tomorrow morning.

Don't have a life.

At night when I come back from school and every weekend, all I do is my homework. I don't really see my friend or go to parties, I only my family when I come out of my room. All I want is to pull straight A's and perform at school. I am the best in every class and the teachers love me. I pass the majority of my time in my books and it is pretty hard, but I want to be ready to work this summer in the hospital.

Choice 1 : Volunteer.

Choice 2 : Get a job.

Failure.

I didn't put enough of my time in school. I prefer to do everything except my homework. I started to fail a course and after two. The cegep expelled me. I need to think about another school where I will work much more. I have to stop putting aside the important things and focus on them. I thought about going volunteering in another country to take the take to think about my future.

Choice 1 : Stop school.

Choice 2 : Go in a new school.

Get a job.

My first day OJT was really nice. I learned a lot of things regarding the tasks I will have to do every day, and I also learned about the important things on the job itself. I am now a nurse. It's a premium wage. On the job I get to practice my evaluations, my techniques, which is very useful because it is going to help me. I was the only trainee that day, which give me the opportunity to ask my trainer as many questions as I like. Once the day finish, the boss asked to see me in his office. He offered me a compensation package because he really likes me. This is such a big opportunity for me, I accepted.

Choice 1 : Go at the surgery department.

Choice 2 : Go at the pediatric department.

Volunteer.

I decided this summer, to go volunteering as a nurse abroad in Kenya, Africa, with my school. We went there for 2 months and I don't think it was enough. This experience was invaluable for me because the purpose of the mission was to see what life was like in a poor country and then try to bring positive changes to the people that live there. When I arrived, the real work started. We were all staying in a little motel and each morning we had to walk 2 kilometers to get to the little hospital. All day, I saw a lot of sick people. The worst part the reason why I decided to come back in Montreal. One night, I was sleeping in the motel and I man enter in my room and I suffered from sexual harassment. I will always be traumatized of that men.

Choice 1 : Do an internship.

Choice 2 : New job.

Go in a new school.

I had to change school. I have been expelled. I applied in a cegep in Rimouski. It will be a new start for me. Meet some new friends, get a new job and live along in my apartment. It's the king of change that I like. My parents offered me to pay my school and my books if I brought back good grades. I am really determinate to succeed.

School is not for me, I hate it. My parents kick me out of the house, so I am now living at a friend house for 2 weeks now. I won't be able to stay there for a very long time, so I have to find a job. My background check is not very beautiful so it's complicated.

I have chosen the surgery department. I love action and there is a lot. As a nurse, I have to take the right action with the patient If I don't want to risk is life. I always have to do things, I never have time to sit down. All the team need to help each other and learn time management. The wage is not very good for all the things we do, but it's a part of the job.

Choice 1 : Need to change.

Go at the pediatric department.

I love kids so much. I am passionate of that job. I would like to treat the all. They always put a smile on my face. When one of them is really sick and heart is in pieces, I hate these situations.

New job.

After what I have been through, I chose to try something new. I get a job in the HR of a Marketing company. Every day it is a routine, but I get use to it. My colleagues are really sweet with me. I am good in what I am doing. I sign a lot of paper and I interview people when there is a vacant position in the company.

Choice 1 : Keep the job.

Choice 2 : Resign the job.

Do an internship.

This week, I am starting to work as an intern at the hospital. My internship is during the summer. This experience will be a test drive for me. I recommended every student to do an internship as a student if it's possible for a foot in a door. It's a useful job to learn a lot of things and it is a good start. Some friends told me about their summer, they made some contacts, they developed their knowledge, and they even made some friends. They said after summer, I would be hired in a laboratory.

Choice 1 : Getting hired.

Choice 2 : Refusing.

Keep the job.

Even If I am doing a lot of overtime, it's a good job for me. The wage is fine for what I do and I really like the environment in this company.

Choice 1 : Retirement.

Resign the job.

After a few months, I realized the job is not for me. I was doing so much overtime. When a gave my resignation letter to my boss in my office, he yelled at me. He threw my letter, and he gets up on his desk. He started to throw on me all the things he sees. I was bleeding, one of my colleagues enter the office and try to pull me out of there. He called 911.

Retirement.

Today, I have my retirement party. All my family, my friends and ma co-workers will be there. Since I started to work, I set aside some money for my retirement. I have a good amount for my pension, I don't think I will be in trouble. My job was drudgery, I am very tired and exhausting. For the rest of my life, I want to enjoy time with my family, I want to travel and finally take time for me. My husband is retiring to, so we will enjoy it together. Next week, We leave for one week in Mexico, it's a good start.
