How it all started.

During my last year studying at Ahuntsic College, I knew I had an important decision to make which was what I wanted to do in the future. On one side, I knew that I loved psychology and that it was a field that I was interested working in for the rest of my life. On the other side, I wanted to travel to discover more about myself.

Choice 1 : Go to the University of Montreal.

Choice 2 : Take a year off to travel.

Go to the University of Montreal.

I was really excited to start my psychology baccalaureate. I had been waiting for this moment my hole life. I was ready to study hard and get straight A's. First, I had to think about my time management. I had to make sure I had enough time to work at the restaurant, to study and to see my friends. I sat down at a little table and started to organize my agenda until a pretty guy tapped on my shoulder to ask me if he could sit down beside me. I decided to put my book aside and I started to talk with him to finally discover that he was studying psychology too and that we had most of our classes together.

Choice 2 : Tell the guy to leave.

Take a year off to travel.

I decided to travel the world because I need to get to know myself better and to be sure about what I want to do in the future. I packed my bags and my first destination was Paris. When I arrived there, instantly made myself some friends. I met two guys in a little coffee place near my apartment. They talked to me about what they were doing in life. They were working in a bar about two street from where we were. They also told me that they were looking for a new waitress for the next couple of months because one of the girls was on a leave of absence for personal reasons. I wasn't sure what to do. Should I take the job or should I continue my trip?

Choice 1 : Take the job.

Choice 2 : Continue my trip.

Give my phone number to the boy.

I decided to give my phone number to to the boy, and he told me his name was Alex. He also said that he had a lot of connections in the psychology field and that he could easily find us internships if I wanted to. At that moment, I was really happy to have met this handsome boy. He asked me if I wanted to go to the bar with him that same night.

Choice 1 : Go out at the bar with the guy.

Choice 2 : Tell the guy that I will pass on his offer tonight.

Tell the guy to leave.

I decided that I didn't want to invest myself in a relationship and that I wanted to focus on my homework. In fact, I didn't want to feel overwhelmed and I promised myself, when I got accepted at University, that I would only focus on school. I worked really hard and I became a successful psychologist. I ever opened my own clinic and it was a huge success. I took my retirement at 50 years old and travelled the world with my husband and my kids.

We went to at a bar name Jason's that night and a guy ran in the bar while he was driving a big truck. A lot of people were hurt in this accident. I lost my left arm and Alex died because of a severe head trauma when he arrived at the hospital.

Though I thought that the boy was great, I decided that I wouldn't go out with him and instead I went home directly after school. About five hours after I arrived home, I heard on the radio that a car had run in the bar where I was supposed to be that night. I am extremely grateful to have refused the offer because I might not event be alive today. I eventually contacted the guy that asked me out on my first day of university, and we ended as great friends. We both felt like we had found our purpose in life and lived every day at the fullest.

Take the job.

I decided to take the job in Paris. I started working the day after the two guys hired me. I arrived at the restaurant and I felt like something unusual was going on. A tall blonde girl was assigned to give me on-the-job-training. I was excited to learn the ropes. During lunch, one of the girls asked me where I came from and why I was working there. When I told them that I was on a trip, they instantly told me to leave this place. I got them to explain to me why they seemed so scared. They told me that the guys who hired me were known for picking up girl that travelled to come work at the restaurant and that there were past stories of sexual harassment that involved them. I was so scared. I ran out of the place and I decided to go back home right away.

I decided that I wanted to continue my trip and go volunteering in Africa to help build schools. It was seriously the best trip of my life. I learnt so much about myself. By the time I came back home, I decided that I wanted to become an elementary school teacher and that I would travel more often than not trying to help the people in need. I can't imagine my life any other way.
