My Career as a Lawyer
Where everything started.
When I finished high school, I had to make a choice for my future career.
Choice 1 : Do well at school and graduate with an A + score.
Choice 2 : Enjoy my college experience and go to the most party's that I can without really caring about getting good grades but just wanting to pass my classes.

I think that the key to have straight A's really depend on the student motivation and on its constant performance. That means to handle time management so you can successfully pull of good grades. For me, it gets very maddening when I procrastinate from watching Netflix. Even though it is hard to get away from these distractions, I have to focus on pulling off great habits. More ever, failure is a normal thing for everyone. I think that lack of success is actually the best teacher you can get for yourself. It helped me focus on my critical thinking, I could know what I want in the future and what I should do better. Learning from your own mistakes makes you a more independent person. For me, it has really grown me. It also made me realize how much I wanted to be a Lawyer and helped me focus on that goal.

I think that life is very short and for life to be lived at 100%, you have to enjoy every moment. I think that life isn't about money or get a good job but more about emotions and family. You only live once. I love to spend my weekends going out and eating dinner with friends. It is very maddening to get up and think that you have to work and only work because you only choose that in your life. I want to do what makes me happy. I think that working a minimum wage is not a bad thing and that it satisfies primary needs.

Do internships in my field of study.
During my sessions in the Social Science program, I did two internships. The first one was more focused on sharing stories about social injustice for us to learn to adapt to different cases. I do recommend this internship if it is an option to you. This experience was kind of on-the-job-training because what you learn at school and what you see in real life is not the same. It helped me learn the ropes.

Volunteering abroad.
In the future, after I finish university, I would like to volunteer abroad. Why? First of all, because there are many advantages related. For example, learning a new language that would lead you in the future to a premium wage (people that are bilingual at Quebec make 21 % more money than uni lingual one's), developing varied new skills on a long training period and more. Unlikely, there are also disadvantages. One of them is the difficulty of adapting to a new culture. Another one would be the danger. Finally, volunteering is sometimes a better option than having a dead-end job because it leads you to better opportunities.

During the summer, I was hired for a vacant position in a call center. The main job task is to call people and ask them how they feel about certain companies of phone, internet, websites, etc. I had a good salary, and I was given 2 weeks paid of vacation by the HR after working 3 months there. The employees were very kind and social. I saw many great benefits from working at this place. I will recommend people to work in a call center even if sometimes you get insulted by some customers, in general it is a great job.

I was at my new work and some random guy around my age came to flirt with me. I was first approached by him in the men section, and he asked me a question about the clothes. Even though it is not my section, I still answered. After, I went back to the woman section (my section) and he followed me there. I was asked again a question by him, and he pretended that it was for his sister this time. After that, it began to feel like sexual harassment, he repeated that technique many times and I finally told him that I had work to do and to go ask someone else. His misconduct increased. It didn't work, he still followed me few minutes later. Also, he went asking my colleagues where I was and invented a story that I was his girlfriend and that I just broke up with him. He wasn't recipient until we told security to escort him out because the store was closing.

My first work as a Lawyer.
I successfully finished my university diploma as a Lawyer. I specialized in the criminal law firm and got my first job in that field. I learned the penal code by heart and can now apply my education into helping people getting the justice they deserve. I wish to be a powerful lawyer that is engaged to work cases for the Supreme Court.

I wish to retire when I am not able to perform well at my work. That means when I get around 70. Not before because it is proven that when you keep learning and using your brain you live longer. Also, I don't want to get bored at the house doing the garden all day long. When I am 65 and I will work less but I will still work. When you set aside money for retirement, you will be more comfortable doing fun activities like traveling, sports and more. To have a good pension, setting aside $50 each pay is a good idea.

After surviving sexual harassment in my old job, I decided to leave my job and go out and have fun. I eventually couldn't afford life this way and ended up homeless.
