Last semester before the internship.

This is your last semester before your internship. The program counselor is meeting up with every student of your grade. Time for your turn. She's asking you to start looking for some places you would like to work and what do you have in mind. You are not sure because there's so much type of law you would like to learn from. You remember there's three specific you want to know more.

Choice 1 : Working at a huge criminal law firm.

Choice 2 : Working at the courthouse in the family division.

Preparing your interviews.

Great you chose the field of law you want to do your internship. Now it's time for you to drop your CV because many of your classmates wants to do their internship at the same place as you. The job offers only few places to the good candidates with promising CV and attitude.

Choice 1 : You are doing a new CV with good references. So you can impress the HR during the process.

Choice 2 : You decide to give your old CV from 2016 because you think they won't look at your old jobs as cashier in a McDonald or volunteering for the past provincial election.

You got the job!

You got the job at the big criminal law firm as you wanted. They called you they want to meet you and know more about you. They are telling you they were interested with you because you have beautiful references and some type of experience with the public even if it were as a cashier in McDonald. They told you that they were looking for the candidate that was looking promising even if he barely had experience in the law field. Now they are asking your permission to do a background check. Just to be cautious and good to start with you.

Choice 1 : You know you have to do the last 7 exams before the christmas break. You start studying hard and not talking to anyone for two weeks.

Choice 2 : You start celebrating with your friends the end of the semester before doing your exams. You go to the club with your friends the day before two exams.

You didn't get the job.

Sadly you didn't get the job in any jobs you wanted. You start looking for other jobs. But you realize that the deadline to apply for the spots left past two days ago. You start panicking because you know you need to find an internship to have your college diploma. A few days later, you are meeting up with your counselor to see the option, so you can graduate in time because you don't have anything left to do then your internship.

Choice 1 : Finding a summer job.

The last days.

Now you know you secured your internship you realize that you will not see your friends not till the graduation in May. You are talking with them about the program and how you all are thinking about the next few years as paralegals. You are feeling some type of emotions of leaving them knowing some of them do not live in Montreal. You spend the night with them one last time before the internship.

Missed exam.

Because you were too hangover you didn't wake up in time to go to school and missed two of your final exams. You start crying because you missed the criminal exam and the commercial procedure exam. You are thinking you will not be able to do your internship you need to pass the class in connection with your workplace. So you start panicking and trying to find something else to do. After talking with your counselor. She's telling you to wait till next year to do your internship and to complete the classes that you failed after missing them.

Summer job.

Now it's the end of the school year and summer is coming up. You start thinking about where you want to work. You heard that there a opening spot for students only at the CNESST. You know that working there will look good on your CV. Few weeks later, they are calling you to tell you that you are going to start your six week training the following week as a legal assistant and it will be a full-time job.

Choice 1 : Internship.

Internship.

It's the end of the school break, and now you are starting your internship. You are so excited about the training, the wage and learn the rope of your field of study. You are learning about family Law, youth Law and Criminal Law. You are loving everything they are showing you. They are asking you to do procedures, reports, contracts and more. You do feel a little bit tired, but you are pushing yourself knowing you will be done soon. A few months later, you are almost done with your internship.You are completing the last few homework from your internship supervisor. One day the boss of the firm is asking if after your graduation you want to stay with them. You are responding that you want to stay with pleasure. You are getting excited about ending everything and soon enough.

Choice 1 : Graduation.

Graduation.

Now it's your graduation you have complete the program. You are crying knowing that you put so much efforts between the ups and downs in there. You are walking down to go take your diploma. Now you can tell everyone you are a certified paralegal with a good job in a law firm. But before thinking of university you look into some ressorts you can go with your friends. You start thinking about Puerto Rico or Jamaica. Enjoy yourself and your diploma!
