Short introduction.

Hi everyone! I guess not everyone has read my short introduction available in my blog, so I will do a brief introduction of myself. My name is Ahmad, and I am a 20-year-old student currently living in Montreal. I have been studying Business for the past 3 years at Ahuntsic College.

Choice 1 : College.

Before getting to apply to Business I was kind of confused, I did not know what to do in life. So, I did my first semester studying pure and applied science. I had a Chemistry course, two Mathematics courses, a Mechanics course, and some complementary courses. In High School, I was not really interested to science courses, I never got straight A’s in Mechanics either in Chemistry. Even though I had bad grades, I managed to pass both courses. My parents suggested to apply to Pure and Applied Science because ‘’it could open every door in college’’. I told myself that it would not be that hard… The first semester was a total disaster! I sure was not ready at all for college. My Chemistry course was way harder than the Chemistry course I had in high school. Same thing for the Mechanics course and the Mathematics course (even though I was actually pretty good at Mathematics in high school). Before is even finished the semester, I told myself that this program is not for me. I decided to apply to another program for the next semester, which is Business.

When I was a little kid, I used to sell orange juice that I made myself. From my young age, I knew that the entrepreneur life was a passion for me. I used to make about five dollars a day only by selling the orange juice! Plus, instead of wasting my money on toys and candy, I saved the money, so I could buy books about cars because I really love cars. My neighbour also used to sell orange juice, but he sold each orange juice at a higher cost. At the end of each day, I always made more profit than him. So even younger I had a good marketing strategy.

The Business program had exactly the courses that I like. I had two Marketing courses, two Economics courses, 4 Mathematics courses, a political science course, a Psychology course, and an enterprise course. All these courses were so interesting to me. My first semester in the Business program was amazing. Second one too. Third one too. Forth one too. Fifth one too. And the last one as well. I liked all of my courses. I managed to pull straight A’s in many courses. I was so happy. My happiness was invaluable!

During my last semester, I had to apply to a university and had to choose a program related to my field of study. I did not have any problem choosing a program. I already knew what I wanted to do. I applied to a Management program since it is my dream to become a manager of a big enterprise. Good news, I GOT ACCEPTED. I have a purpose I will do everything to achieve it!

To become a manager and quickly find a job, I knew that, not only I have to graduate from my university program, but I also need some experience. I currently have a job in an Adonis supermarket since 2018. I became a little close to the manager with the time since I never had any misconduct. One day, I asked him if I could get an on-the-job-training as a co-manager. This could be an amazing foot in the door. My manager accepted. So, I got a whole week as a trainee (I wish if he could at least give me a premium wage!) and it was an amazing experience! I learned so many things, my manager showed me all the ins-and-outs possible to become a great manager. I even had to interview (with the help of the manager of course) someone who applied to a vacant position. This is obviously the best experience I have ever had!

Nowadays, Business is the center of everything. All people think about, day and night, is money, which is related to Business of course. For example, a young couple just moved to their first apartment. They will have to sign a contract, which is related to business, they will also have to get an insurance, maybe they will have to keep an eye on their expenses, which is also related to Business. They will have to deal with new things, which means to improve their Management. Studying Business in college and in university can open lots of doors later in life. You can become an accountant, a Management consultant, a social media manager, a financial analyst, an actuary, a Business teacher, and many more job opportunities. Also, a job in the Business field usually pay a good salary. Which is something I care about since I mentioned that I really like cars so, I need money to buy lots of cars!

In conclusion, the Business program is an amazing program who offers a lot of marvelous courses. Business is the center of the world, every successful man in the world has something to do with Business. All you need to success in the World of Business is determination et lots of efforts. And you will see that all of your efforts will pay off one day.
