I finished my first year of College in liberal art and I don’t know if I want to continue in this path or apply in Police Technology.

I chose to stay in liberal art at Gerald-Godin College. At my first day of the second year there, I heard that there was already try-outs to be in the flag-football team, but I was in the team last year, and we lost all the games.

I went to the try-outs and there’s a lot of new girls. They are good, so I put all of my efforts to make sure I was good enough to be in the team this year.

I am very happy to be in the team and I hope it will be a good season this year, but I don’t want my sport to be my first preoccupation because I want good grades to apply in criminology for University.

I’m very happy to have been accepted in the program I wanted, I’m excited for next year. I wanted to have a job close to the police environment, so I will have a foot in the door in the police world because of the criminology studies I will achieve.

I’m not happy about that, but I will take a year off to volunteer abroad in South Africa. It will help me to reorganize my future and I think there are a lot of advantages by being a volunteer, it will give me life experiences, the opportunity to travel, the opportunity to learn about others culture and it will give me a purpose, the purpose to help people in need in the world.

I applied to the Police Technology program, without really thinking I would be accepted, because there were over 400 applications. Though there was this big amount of people who applied, I succeed through all steps of the acceptance in this program and I’m happy about it. So, I already have a year of College done, so I have fewer courses this year. I saw that there were try-outs for the flag- football team, but I don’t know if I should go.

The fact that we won makes me very happy and to be in the team have really kept me motivated in school. My grades are great and I have passed all of my courses. It’s been the same for the 2 years after that, and my appliance at Nicolet have been accepted. So, I’m very happy.

I’m happy to have this job, and I realized that there are a lot of similarities to the police world. I work at the pool for the 3 years I’ve been there and my appliance to Nicolet have been successful. I think the fact that I was a lifeguard at my school help a lot because it shows my hard work with all the overtime I did and it shows that I’m implicated at school.

The fact that I didn’t have the job give me a lot of free times for school and because of my hard work in the Police Technology program during the 3 years, my appliance at Nicolet have been accepted the first time.

The flag-football season haven’t been great, we lost a lot of games and the finals. This have demotivated me, and my grades at school really shows it.

I decided to stay in the team for the next two years, but it haven’t been great, we lost again and again, so my results at school wasn’t great, because my time management wasn’t good. My appliance at Nicolet have been rejected because of that, but I will try to apply at a University to upgrade my grades and be accepted at Nicolet in the future.

This have really helped me to concentrate on school and have better grades. I think it also helps me to be accepted to Nicolet, because my grades where all straight A’s and I concentrate more about being an intern at the SPVM where I had an on-the-job-training. This internship had given me a lot of experiences and help me to know more about the police environment, things that is great for Nicolet.

Not being in the team was a hard choice, but I was putting aside school. For the rest of the year, I put all of my efforts on school and it was worthwhile, because have been accepted at University in the program I wanted which is criminology.
