I just finished high school. I am living in Saint-Jerome and I thought about studying there, but my girlfriend needs to go to Ahuntsic College because she wants to study graphics and the only college with the program is Ahuntsic. I don't have any sort of financial help so if I decide to move to Montreal with my girlfriend, I need to work. Or, I can stay with my parents, study at Saint-Jerome’s College and play video games instead of working.
Choice 1 : Saint-Jerome.
Choice 2 : Move to Montreal.

I chose to stay with my parents and study at Saint-Jerome's college. My girlfriend moved to Montreal, and we have to break up because we are going in two completely different way in our lives. I think I found my place in this program. Accounting looks difficult and boring but it is absolutely not! I have awesome grades in my first and second sessions but, my grades were good because people left the course in the middle of the sessions. The third one hit me like a truck. I am working way too much for a student and still have 0,0001 cent in the bank. The time I spend making no money is the time I should dedicate to studying so my grades are suffering. I am trying to get money from something but nothing gives money to student with middle class parents. I need to make a difficult choice. I can continue and try to finish my study now, or I can push my future a little further to make money at a dead-end job before going back to accounting.
Choice 1 : Study
Choice 2 : Work
I made a demand and sent it to the college. Their response is as follows: you have failed physic and chemistry, you need those two to be accepted. I am not going back… My second option was accounting.
Choice 1 : Accounting and management.
The program seems to be a part of the Accounting and Management program. It feels like I miss something I shouldn't. The college is perfect but the program feels empty. I don't like it.
Choice 1 : Go back
Where am I going to end up? Playing Romeo 3000 times a year? I said related to math.
Choice 1 : Go back
This is the fast way to university. Two years of college with some courses related to the field. I really enjoy it, maybe a little too much. I love the college. I have enough time to study since the program is not big. Two years later I need to go to a university if I want to work in the field. Oooooor, I can work at a dead end job because I want money right now.
Choice 1 : Study
Choice 2 : Get a job right now
This is just not my field I think, or maybe the college is the problem.
Choice 1 : Go back
Now that I have passed all these years in a school, I should be able to get a well-paid job right? No, I am not. There is still a minimum of 3 years of university. I can either get a job after 3 years of university or, study 5 years because I want the best education in finance.
Choice 1 : Another 3 years
Choice 2 : Another 5 years
Choice 3 : Work now
You know, working at Mc Donald's is not that bad after all! I can even feed my red fish 1 time a week ! I have become a night worker and a day sleeper. I completely forgot about accounting. I replaced the information about finance by Big Mac recipes. I got a raise of 21 cents for my 25 years of services. I am living my best life ! The only problem is the gossiping. Jessica always tells me bad things about Mike. He is just taller than her and I think this is why she is so unpleasant. Jessica is a good worker, I don't want to lose her. What should I do? I need to fire someone!
Choice 1 : Fire Jessica
Choice 2 : Fire mike
Choice 3 : Fire myself
I am looking for a job in Montreal, My friend is starting a business and wants me to be his accountant. I can either work with him and get a third of the business or I can try to find a job somewhere else.
Choice 1 : Work with him.
I am so sorry but, this type of behavior is not welcome in my Mc Donald's. Jessica gets fired and everything comes back to normal. I got a little bit of money in a bank for my future. I think I am going to retire at 103 years old... So, I can spend my last 2 or 3 years with a descent tent, in the street. Maybe studying would have been a better choice.
Choice 1 : The beginning.
How to make sure Jessica will stop telling bad things about Mike? Fire Mike. I told him he was not giving enough effort even though he was the only full time employee excluding myself. Everything came back to normal. I think I am going to retire at 102 years old... So, I can live in a descent tent, in the street. Maybe studying would have been a better choice.
Choice 1 : The beginning.
This pressure of firing someone is driving me crazy! I throw my keys on the floor and slam the door behind me. Now that I have no job and no diploma, I am almost homeless, without any pension, and I try to find a job at a Tim Horton's. If I get it, I will try to go back to school. Maybe studying would have been a better choice after all.
Choice 1 : The beginning.
Turns out this was one of the best choices I have ever made! After 35 years in the business, I can retire with a guaranteed $100 000 a year!
Choice 1 : The beginning.
I am hired at Ernst & Young! I work there for 30 years, and I am one of the best at what I do! Studying 5 years would have been a waste of time! I can retire at 62 years old and live the rest of my life with more than $50000 per year!
Choice 1 : The beginning.
My doctorate gives me the opportunity of working at the biggest accounting firm of all time! It takes about 4 years before I get to the head of the firm because I am the greatest accountant in the world! My salary? About a million and a half per year. I can live the rest of my life without any preoccupation for my future needs.
Choice 1 : The beginning.
