Out of the police school.

You just finished your four months in police school at Nicolet. You are ready to be a policeman and make people respect the law, but first you have to send application to the services you want to work for. You send demands to three organisation, to the SPVM, to the SQ and to the CN, an organisation of police officers that work at the border of train track. The lucky person that you are received three affirmative answers and now have to choose.

Choice 1 : You choose the SPVM.

Your first week in this organisation are going well. You already feel the drive of work but you like that, it gives you the adrenaline you need. You are working a lot but you feel okay about it because you want to set aside some money for your future house. You know how mortgage cost and you want to have your own space as soon as possible. You don't even take your leave of absence because the more money you have, better you feel. Some colleagues hear about your needed and talk to you about really fast wait to do a lot of money. Only one problem, they are talking about corruption. You think about how your compensation package give you a good life and what the risks would be to put all that in the balance for some extra money. You though have two choices, or you do corruption yourself, or you decide to stay clean.

You start in this organisation with success. You pull off all the tasks that are asked, and we congratulate you for you sens of time management. You feel that you have everything that you need in your life. When things couldn't go better, you meet an old colleague of an old job that gives you a foot in the door of the police organisation, being Cadet. This girl was working with you but didn't become a police officer. She is interested in you and want to see you without your uniform. You make an investigator of yourself and do a background check about her, but you don't find anything, she is not an offender. You didn't have any warrant to do that but you needed to know. You know a girlfriend can come in handy but you are not sure you want to date her.

On your first day at the CN, you are doing an OJT but you are alone in your car. Your colleagues call you many times and makes sure you are alright. You put aside all your stress because you already feel fulfillment from that jobs that is very important, but carry a lot of responsibility. You received along the day a call because a young boy wants to put and end to his life by getting hit by a train. He keeps telling that the life isn't worthwhile and you realize that you are really close of the place that he stands. You could easily run and restrain the boy by passing him the handcuffs but you would have to hurry. If you don't want to take that risk, the second choice would be to call the train central to ask to stop the next train but, we can suppose that this one won't have the time to stop completely and that the boy would die.

Quickly, you get out of your car and you run to push the boy out of the tracks. You see the train, and he is coming so fast that you are not sure you can make it. You have huge drawback on the speed and you sadly get hit by the train.

You immediately call the train central because you want to do the things thoroughly, finish the intervention like we teach you to. You know the ins-and-outs of the job but you feel awful for the boy. Like you predicted, the train is not able to stop before passing where stand the boy. The death of this person hit you and you realize how much life is invaluable. You decide to quit your job and give up your wage to go live a life of monks labor.

You develop with the lady a relation that continues to grow. She wants to go faster and to have kids with you but you don't feel ready. You feel you don't know her enough. She is choc of your reaction and slowly change her attitude toward you. She talks a lot about the girl power and wants to abolish the power of men in the society. You don't recognize her anymore. You tried to do some overtime to avoid her presence, but she complains about it. It a drudgery to come home knowing she will be there, with her bad vibes. She starts to push you when you want to hug her and more the time pass, more she becomes angry. She hit you all the time and it takes you two long months to realize that you are victims of domestic violence. You are even, at some point, afraid for your life. You don't want to end at the hand of the coroner, doing an autopsy on your dead body. One time, she sends you at the hospital with her hands' strength so you decide it enough. She will never touch one dollar of your pension, you are leaving her.

You like your loneliness and really feel like an independent person, it is ingrained in you. You tell her clearly that you are not interested, and she is leaving with some lack of respect. You don't hear about the girl for an entire week when suddenly, on the job, you received a call about the murder of a woman. You go to the place where it happens, a grocery store, as fast as you can. You find her, the famous girl, on the floor, victim of the killer. The motive was apparently that she try to stop him from doing robbery. You difficultly take the police report and talk to every witness. The weapon the was use on the girl is a knife, you make sure the proof stay intact. You swear to yourself to fin the person who did that.

Do corruption.

You decide you love money more than your own honor. You are witness, once you are in the secret, that some officers are giving a bribe to one of the superiors so that he close his eyes on some illegal activities. You get scares to be accused and to be treated like a criminal when you see the extent of the trickery. You want to get out of it, but some colleagues in particular threats you that if you talk, you are going to be in big problems. Yo are confused but suddenly, without knowing, the HR want to give you a more advanced wage and for that, do more research on your files. You get burns and face the jail in front of the tribunal. You hired a lawyer to defend you but he recommends that you record a plea of guilty. You follow the advice and go in prison for a couple of years.

Not getting sucked up in this trickery was the best decision of you life. You don't need to undermine the officers that did corruption because they are quickly snitched by others. Perpetrators are put in an arrest but one of them is not discovered. He tried to arm you and one of your partners with his gun, but thanks to the bulletproof vest you are wearing, you are fine. You think about the situation and you feel good that you didn't deter these criminal, they are pretty dangerous and shall not be provoked. You dread the moment when their misconduct will be punished. No one is going to hinder their incarceration now. You did a nice job !
