Adventures of a Lifetime...

Time to make life choices!

You have graduated from high school and you are not really sure what to do with your life. There are so many choices in front of you, but you are too overwhelmed to decide where to go next. Nevertheless, it is now time to make a decision that will affect your fate.

Choice 1 : Pursue your studies in college.

Choice 2 : Travel the world.

Pursue your studies in college.

You start browsing the Internet on your computer, looking at different programs offered in various colleges to make your decision. Since you have always been passionate about biology and physiology, you decide to apply in a program related to healthcare.

Choice 1 : Apply in Health Science.

Choice 2 : Apply in Medical Records Management.

Choice 3 : Apply in Animal Health Technology.

Apply in Health Science.

You get accepted in this program with no trouble. Unfortunately, you soon realize the first year of college can be overwhelming, because it is not like high school at all. Your friends invite you to go out, but you have a paper due in two days. However, you must decide.

Choice 1 : Set aside your paper to party with your friends.

Choice 2 : Be a good student and start working on your paper.

Life of the party!

You have so much fun partying with your friends. As a result, you do a cursory job on your paper and decide not to study for the upcoming exams. In addition, you miss a lot of classes. Hence, absenteeism becomes a habit. Eventually, you fail your classes and decide that school is not for you. You drop out of college to continue on your wild life. One day, you get so drunk and somehow end up in jail. Job hunting becomes hard, because every new employer requires a background check from you.

Choice 1 : Get your life together.

Success comes with effort.

You do all of your school work thoroughly and it shows. It is not always easy, but you do your best. Thankfully, you pass all of the remaining semesters with flying colors. You are now thinking about pursuing your studies in order to become a doctor. Thus, medical school is your next step.

Choice 1 : Apply at McGill University.

Choice 2 : Apply at University of Sherbrooke.

An interview?

During the interview, you start to get nervous. In every situation, you are a pretty confident, calm and collected individual. In addition, you are not the type of person who would get anxious in situations like that. Here is the proof: HR would hire you the next day you have shown up for a job interview. To make a long story short, this one interview does not go well. You start thinking it might have been due to the fact that you do not really feel comfortable speaking in English, and that you should have chosen a francophone institution instead.

Expectation versus reality...

You get accepted in medical school. However, during an internship at the hospital, you administer the wrong drug to a patient. Because of that, you get dragged to court under a subpoena. It turns out that there is another evidence against you. In fact, you do not respect patients' confidentiality. During Medical School, you always gossip about your patients to your friends and colleagues. In fact, you are notorious for contributing in office politics. The disclosure of such information gets you kicked out of med school. By sharing information that you are not supposed to without your patients' consent, you also lose the court case and have been found guilty. It shocks you so bad that you die of a heart attack.

Choice 1 : Start over.

You start to put more thoughts into your career. In the past, you went volunteering in a hospital and it allowed you to get an in-depth understanding of different fields in healthcare. This experience will definitely come in handy in the future. Besides, this is also how you discovered Medical Records Management. You eventually get accepted in the program. This is the beginning of your first semester.

Stay home and study.

You choose to stay at home in order to study. By attending every class and taking efficient notes during lectures, your teachers see you as a thoughtful student. You also make sure not to do a cursory job on your papers. As a result, you get straight A's and even manage to pull off the most difficult exams. Even though you end up having very little leisure time, you know it will be worthwhile.

Choice 1 : Graduate.

Download a dating application on your telephone.

You meet the love of your life. After a few months, you get married to your significant other. This flirtation turns out not to be worthwhile, because you get a divorce soon after. In truth, your former partner breaks up with you via fax machine. You put your signature in countless divorce papers and realize there is a good deal of paperwork to complete. Your time management is not good and you end up failing your first year in the program.

Choice 1 : Revert to previous choice.

Find a part-time job in the field.

It is tough working as an administrative officer at the hospital while being a full-time student. More often than not, you struggle with your classes. As you also work overtime, you feel exhausted. In spite of that, you manage to work it out just fine and your drive of work motivates you more than anything. At the same time, you learn, little by little, the ropes of the job. You feel good about yourself because you know your current job allows you to set a foot in the door. Besides, it will also get you a premium wage in the future.

Choice 1 : Graduate.

There are times like this when you feel there is a sentiment of fulfillment that is missing, since your dream has always been to travel the world. At the same time, you are pretty content with the fact that you saved enough to live comfortably. Moreover, you are able to pay off your mortgage.
