Montmorency College

Before the end of college.

I will finish my program at Montmorency College in one year. My program is Civil Engineering Technology and I can work directly after if I want to. Although I don't know if I like that much the program and I find it hard. What should I do?

Choice 1 : Finish my program.

ETS

When I finish the Civil Engineering Technology program.

I finished my program, and I am ready to work. Although I can continue my studies at the Polytechnique or at the ETS (École des technologies supérieures) and have a better salary in few years. But it comes with the fact that I have to study hard again for 3 to 4 years. Should I choose to continue my studies at one of these universities or start working in the engineering market?

I chose to leave my program because I thought it was impossible for me to recover my error to pass my class. I discovered in myself at that moment something I never knew existed. I have a passion for music. I decided to play music in bars for the rest of my life. I didn't make much money, but I was happy.

I chose to try to recover my error to pass my class. It was really hard and it sometimes seemed impossible. After 4 years of hard work and studies, I got my ring to certify me as an engineer. I was happy and it gave me a higher self confidence. After that, I got a job and I kept it until my retirement.

I chose to not go to the initiation party to study for my test the next. Some guys in my class who also weren't going to the party invited me to study with them. In that study session, I learned a lot about them. They explained to me that they want to start a special construction company, and I found it interesting. The next day, I passed my test easily, but their idea was still in my head. After several weeks, I want to be part of that company, but now that I know everything about their plan, should I start the company by myself?

The choice that worth millions.

I chose to quit school and start the special company by myself. I know I stool the idea of my friends, but in the end it was worthwhile because it really worked well. The company exploded. Because I was alone, I decided what I wanted to do and everything worked. By the age of 30 years old, I had a premium wage. I was already a millionaire.

I chose to wait and start the company with them. After 6 years of trying to make to company work, we just made ourselves indebted and our company was bankrupted. We got a big lack of communication as well. At this moment, we got nothing to lose, and we decided to try stool a bank. We all got caught, and we all went to jail for the rest of our lives.

I chose to continue my studies at Polytechnique to become an engineer. At this university, I big program of sport is in place. They are called the Carabins. I’m excellent when I’m playing soccer and I can be taken by the team, but that will take me a lot of time. I won’t study as much as if I am not in the team. Should I join them or not?

My childhood’s dream.

I chose to join the soccer team. My first year, I did really good on the field. I scored 8 goals during the season and I was been watched by other clubs. My grades were not that good, but I passed and I didn’t really care. The second years, I explode. I scored 16 goals. My grades were pretty much the same. At the end of the soccer season, I reveive two really great offer. One was from Olympique de Marseille, a European soccer team in France, and an other one was from Atlanta Utd, an MLS soccer team. It is my childhood’s dream to be a soccer player, so I cant let it down. What offer should I take?

Olympique de Marseille

My journey in France.

I decided to take to offer from France team called Olympique de Marseille. In the beginning of the journey, it was hard. I didn’t know anyone, people were laughing at me et the soccer was better there then in Quebec. All those points gave me motivation to complete thoroughly my journey. I was getting sucked up in what we call the drive of work. I progress really fast and 4 years later, I can call myself as a professional soccer player and everyone respected me.

Engineer

My journey in the MLS.

I chose to take the offer of the Atlanta Utd, a team in the MLS, to try to become a professional soccer player. After many tries to be part of the team, I wasn’t good enough. The team fired me and I return to Quebec where I decided to continue my engineering studies in the Polytechnique to become an engineer.

Where I want to work.

I chose to not join the team because I wanted to have more time for my studies. I did really great at school in these 4 years. I was performing straight A’s and my performance caught the eyes of several companies. The 2 best were one here in Quebec and one in Asia. What would be the best choice?

A life with no problems.

I chose to take the offer in Quebec. It was a good choice because for the rest of my life, the company prospered, and I got a great and stable salary. Big house, good cars, a family and no problem of money.

Trip to Asia.

I chose to take the offer in Asia. I can't say if it were a good or a bad decision because I found the love of my life there, but I quit my job because I didn’t like how the company worked. Too much overtime and I was to often overwhelm. It was maddening. I became a man at home, and she brought the money.

Being an engineering technician.

I chose to start working in the field straight after my studies at Montmorency College. It has been 5 years since and I’m starting to be really comfortable. Although I receive a job offer: to go work in Haiti, because they need civil engineer. The salary is a bit higher than here. Should I go?

I have to choose to be a waiter in a restaurant and make a lot of money with the tip, or begin to travel to expand my knowledge of different cultures and ways of living and to discover the beauty of the world with my own eyes. While travelling in Australia, I literally felt in love with a woman who lives there and I decided to move with her, while I put aside everything else. Changing my program for Natural Sciences was a bad choice. I find it really difficult and my grades are bad. Compared to the others in my classes, I have difficulties following the teacher and I'm not proud of myself. What should I do?

I decided to double my efforts, to concentrate myself on my studies and to schedule appointment with the teacher to understand everything. In the end, I passed every course and I'm proud of myself. Bad choice.

Taking a sabbatical year was another bad choice in my life. That lasts 4 years, and I lost all my motivation for school. Finally, I've been employed by one of my best friends in his new successful company.
