End of high school.

I finished high school. My parents wanted me to go to college but not a single program interested me at first. My parents hired an orientation helper to guide me in my choice. At high school I was having very good grades, but I was a lazy student. My parents told me that this would not work in college because it was more serious than high school. She analyzed me and presented me two programs. The first one was Social Sciences and the second one was Natural Sciences.

I decided to apply in Natural Sciences because I thought that this program would suit me best. I spent my first year learning the ins-and-outs of biology and physic, so I quickly understood that this program was not for me.

I chose to stay in the program. I started having bad grades in every course of the program. That was not habitual for me because I used to be a straight A's student when I was in high school. That scared me a lot and made me think about my future.

I chose to do the minimum work. That was not the best idea. My parents kept pushing me to work more in college, but it was not working for me. I put aside their encouragement and kept having bad grades.

I chose to apply in Social Sciences. I was not feeling it at first. For me, it seemed to be a boring program with no opportunities. However, I was very good at psychology and sociology despite having a bit of difficulties at anthropology. I pulled off and finished the program. I was very happy.

Go on study break.

I chose to go on study break for one year. I travelled a lot in the first two months of my break. I went to Panama for about 3 weeks, and I also went to Brazil for the rest of my trip. I was living the dream but there were some drawbacks of that lifestyle. The most important drawback was that I was a step behind everybody in terms of school path.

I chose to apply to university. I applied to the engineer program which was one of the programs that interested me the most because I had heard that wage for this job were very high. Also, there were possibilities of having some premium wages depending on my performance.

I finished my university without difficulties and that gave me a fulfillment. One month later, someone hired me. The HR of his company did a background check on me to see if everything was correct. They saw that I was a perpetrator in the past.

Join the internship.

I chose to join an internship to be an intern. It was my first internship, and I thought that an intern was getting paid to. It was not the case but at least I learned the ropes of the job, and I gained experiences. I was happy with that because having experiences was very important for me and for my next job.

I chose to lie to the HR. They asked me more questions about my background, but I told them that it was an error from the system, and I was not a real perpetrator. Of course, they did not trust me at all, and they abolish my candidature.

I chose to tell them the truth. I told them that I only stole different things in a supermarket when I was younger. I also tell them that It was part of my journey and that illegal act made the person that I am today. They appreciated my honesty, and they gave me a chance. They said that they gave me a chance because there were a vacant position in the company. They needed someone and it was urgent.

I gave up.

I chose to give up. The drive of work was too much for me. That made me stress and some discomfort. I went in the office and told my boss that I won't be part of his team anymore. He was very sad because on that same day, someone stole something in one of his assets. It was not a great day for him.

I chose to start a test drive. After my internship, I started working at a low-level job to get a better job after, This gave me the time to gain massive experiences and to gain a bit of money. Also, I knew that those types of experiences were invaluable to help me in the future.

I chose to fumble the work, and they told me that I was not the right person for the work. When they told me that, I theft something from the company and left the office because I was very angry.

Join the company.

I chose to join the company. It was a nice company, so I chose to work with them after my test drives. They gave me a good compensation package, and they also accept my leave of absence request. That made me fall in love with the company. I was very happy to come in handy for this company in something that I studied at school. That day, it was one of the best days of my life because I became and engineer.
