Choosing-a-career-path

I remember the last couple months of high school and feeling very unsure about my future.Everyone seemed to have some kind of plan for there future while I was still thinking and searching for mine .I first chose to study Humain Sciences because it offered a broad ,globalized view of th world whiteout forcing me into a specific career like medicine.Even when I started Cegep , I still did not have a clear plan of what was my plans for my futur and what path I was heading towards. However, seeing my mother run her own company motivated me to look into the business world ,she inspired me to do more research on this field of study.Eventually ,I began checking out marketing as a career path. Lately I have done more and more research and I am more and more fascinated by how new ideas are created to promote products and how they follow trend and tendencies that are later transmitted to the public through social media and such.I realized that I wanted a career where I can build my own portfolio and be my own boss so that I could built strong professional connections and have my own indepence. Now I am just in a dilemma , Should I pursuing marketing and apply for a program in my city or should I stay in social sciences to continue my global studies?

Choice 1 : Pursue Marketing

Choice 2 : Stay in Human sciences

Enter The Workplace.

After completing my studies,I moved out of my parent's home to finally be independent and got a job at a big marketing agency right here in Montreal. At first,I believed that working for a business would bring me contentment and a sense of accomplishment I walked in the office with high hopes and expectations, but the reality was very different then what I thought was gonna happen. It was far more different than was I found during my research. The organization's structure felt like it alienated anyone who did not fit its unspoken rules.I quickly felt a constant lack of fulfillment.I worked a lot of overtime, hoping the extra hours would make my efforts feel worthwhile, but they never do.I was not able to make any connections at work which made me feel very lonely seeing as they all chat together often .Maybe it's because im new here and they don't accepte new team members that easily. Should I stay and try to make them open up to me ,prove to them that I deserve my place here and work overtime or should I leave and find some other job where the staff accepts me instantly?

Work Overtime.

I have spent most of my life trying to prove myself and my work that I am worth there while.I buried my head in spreadsheets, numerous tasks ,new ideas and my spark and joy that I had for this field is slowly starting to fade away the more I over work and under receive.I feel like I am not appreciated enough for all the hard work I do and it frustrates me.Nobody understands me.And for some reason even tho I have worked here for a while now and I have made many accomplishments for myself and this agency no one congratulates me they all take me for granted here.I work the extra hours so that all my efforts feel worth while, but they never do.On most days I feel powerless and isolated in my own space in my small corner granted to me while the rest of my teams chat and bond over lunch breaks. Each weekly meeting seemed to alienate me more from my team.I felt as tho I did not belong here and that I never did.Every minute spent in this office felt like I was just getting more lonely and isolated.I soon realized that have a minimum of appreciation I have to have to social life.I have to sacrifice everything about my personal life for the agency's goals.I don't know if I should either say something and stand up for myself infront of the boss or should I keep my cool ,stay quiet and keep doing my work like I have always done, alone.
