My-adventure-in-the-world-of-adulthood

An important decision.

I was at the end of high school, and I wasn't sure what to do next. I was never a straight A's kid, I used to put aside everything, but I always managed to pull off at the end of the school year. Nevertheless, two choices were up to me.

Choice 1 : Cegep in Special Care Counseling

I decided to start in the Special Care Counseling program. I was there for three years total, but it actually felt like time passed by so fast. Now I have graduated, but I am unsure on my next step and two choices are up to me.

Choice 1 : Start my worklife as a Special Care Counsellor

Choice 2 : Do a voluntering abroad trip

I could even be a trainee and have my own clients to test drive, with the supervision of my teacher. Now I that I have my certificate, I have two choices up to me.

Work after college.

I decided to work immediately after college, so I could start to make money and be able to put all of my learning in action. But I am a little bit lost on where is the best place to work. I want to work where the wage is high, but I also know I have some sacrifices to make. I have two choices up to me.

Choice 2 : Work at a kindergarden and it's 10 minutes away.

Volunteering abroad.

I decided I wanted to volunteer abroad because I have a purpose to help others in need with my knowledge. I want to come in handy to an orphanage. I know it is not premium wage, but it is like doing an internship. Also, it is an invaluable chance and adventure. But I know I have to decide between two countries.

At the beautiful queen salon.

I decided to be on-the-job-training at the Beautiful Queen salon. It is a big opportunity to learn the ropes. With professionals and to set a foot in the door for other opportunities. More often than not, I feel overwhelmed because there is a coworker who is being mean to me, and I don't know what to do.

Choice 1 : Talk to the girl

Choice 2 : Talk to the boss

My own salon.

I decided to open a salon at my parents' basement. I've been having difficulties for the past 6 months to build myself a name in the beautician world and to actually have clients. I am good at my job, but I don't know what to do next.

High school kids.

I decided to work at a high school that is 45 minutes away. I like the place and my coworkers are good people. I had to do a lot of interventions with kids that didn't have a diagnosis, and I suffered a lot of stress and anxiety. It all caused me to have a leave of absence.

Not anonymous.

I decided to be adventurous and post my real name and face. I really didn't talk about my project to a lot of people in my surroundings. But eventually, I started to notice that my friends and family members were coming to get my services, and they would bring other people to my salon. I finally started to earn some money and at the end it all worked out.
