End of High school.
You just finished High school, and you now have three options ahead of you. You either continue your studies by going to college, drop out of school and start working right away or take a year off with your best friend.

You decided to continue your studies and go to college. Though, you are not so sure what you want to do for work yet. After meeting with a career counselor, you learn a lot about yourself, and it is clearer what you want to do. You either want to do the police techniques program at Cégep Beauce-Appalaches in Saint-Georges, go in natural sciences still in Saint-Georges or go into mining at Cégep de Thetford.

You start the police techniques program, and you like it a lot. Two of your high school friends also joined this program with you. The school is not too far away from your house, so you drive there the morning and come back at night. You give a try to natural sciences to go to university after. After only one semester, you already know that you hate it, and it is not made for you. Your time management is horrible, and you do not have the patience to study a lot. Exams are hard, and you don't seem to be pulling it off. You are even cheating to be able to pass. In the end, you decide to change program.

Directly after your first semester in mining, you knew you were in the right path. You find your lessons very interesting and learn a lot. Since you love the program, you are thorough with you work and are able to get straight A's in your exams. After your 3 years in the program, you graduate. You now have to choose where you want to work.

Construction with your father.
You are now working for your father, and you learn fast. There is a lot of work, so you and your father start working 60 to 70 hours a week. You make a lot of money, so you start saving it to buy your father's company in the future. At 55 years old, you father retire.

Army.
Since you were a kid, you always dreamed of being in the military and defend your country. Two jobs caught your attention: being and infantryman or being an engineer.

You decide to finish the program, and you are now a policeman. You like your job and get a lot of advantages for working for the government. Your job is stable, you have a decent salary, and you have a really good retirement plan. One day, after 20 years working as a policeman, you get a call for an armed drunk man threatening people in the street. Arrived at the scene, the drunk man panics and shoots you with a firearm he was hiding behind his shirt. He was later arrested and a large ceremony took place for your funeral.

Work in a Tim Hortons.
You get hired in a Tim Hortons about 10 minutes away from your house. You don't like you job and hate to make food for other people. It does not take you long to ask your boss for vacation and telling your coworkers you were always sick the mornings you had to work. When you were finally going to work, you were always complaining about everything. After 3 months, you boss decides to fire you, and you now have nowhere else to work.

Work in a wood factory.
You get hired in a wood factory where the salary is not so good, but not bad either. You work on an assembly line with a lot of other employees. The job is boring, but you have no choice but to stay there because it is the only way you can pay your bills. You are living paychecks to paychecks and are not very happy about your life decisions. Your only dream when you punch in every single morning, is retiring.

Be an infantryman.
Being an infantryman is far from being easy. You learn to be mentally and physically prepared for any circumstances. In this job, you are directly in the action, and you are the first in line if there is a war. One day, you get deployed in Iran and see things you never wish you saw. You survive and come back to Canada where you can now retire with a good pension. Sadly, you are traumatized by your experiences.

Be an engineer.
You inform yourself about how to become an engineer in the army. One of the recruiters tells you that in order to become and engineer, you had to study in New Brunswick. You think it is too many sacrifices to go live there, so you decide to just go in the infantry.

You are a successful entrepreneur and live a good life with a beautiful family.

Volunteer abroad.
You and your best friend travel all the way to Guatemala to volunteer with a group of kind people. You make several new friends and learn to live in a poor neighborhood with people who don't have everything they want. Even though you had malaria for a week, you think it was a very fulfilling experience and would do it again anytime. You now have to come back to Canada and continue your life.

You and your best friend decide to learn how to day trade. The first couple months, it was hard, and you had to stay disciplined. But after, you started seeing results. Even though you had lost $5000 when you were still learning, you made it all back in 2 weeks. It did not take long after this that you and your friend were both making over $10000 per month consistently. You now have complete freedom. You work maximum 2 hours a day and can work from wherever you want in the world.

You now work in an open-pit mine in the north of Quebec. Your job is to drive a haul truck around the enormous site. You transport big quantities of ore and waste material over an unpaved terrain. You like your job and even do more hours than you are supposed to.

You are hired in an underground mine in the north of Quebec as a mining technician. You work schedule is 2 weeks of working, then 2 weeks off. Your job is to give orders to the workers in the stopes and to ensure that production is going well. You like it a lot and have a very good salary, so you are able to put aside some money at a young age.
