Internship travel.
End of the semester.
It's the last semester of college, and I have to choose where I want to go for my final internship. I have the opportunity to do it in another country, but it's far away of Canada.

Vietnam.
When I arrive in Vietnam. It's really different from where I live, and I'm a little bit destabilized. My internship director comes to see me at the airport, and he asks me in the witch hospital I want to do my internship.

When I arrive everyone need my help, because two days before, there was an earthquake. There are a lot of peoples who need help, so I have to put my priorities. I look around me and I see two people.

The hospital is very big and the director say that I will have to choose in witch section of the hospital I want to pass the next four weeks. There are two places I want to see.

Hospital in a village.
The hospital I have in front of me looks like a house. They don't have the material I need, no electrocardiogram, no stethoscope, no laryngoscope. It's going to be a challenge, but I have the drive of work!

Pregnant woman.
The woman is not able to breath. I take my 100% oxygen mask, and an oxygen bomb. Her respiratory frequency level up, and she looks good. But there is another big problem; she lost her waters, and I'm a respiratory therapist, not a doctor.

He has heart problems and even if I help him as much as I can, he died.

A man is on the table and his two harms are amputated, because of the cerebrating bacteria. Someone in the room touched the man without protection, and he gave it to everyone in the room, include me. One week later we are all dead.

Emergency.
A woman comes with her 3 years daughter this morning. She had two laughs surgery in the past and today she had respiratory problems. I gave her the good treatment and two hours later she came back home. In the afternoon, I see her arrive in the ambulance. She is in a critical condition and the doctor asks me to do the cardiac massage. It was too late.

I did the best with the material I had, and for four weeks I worked really hard. I came back to Canada and my parents were very proud of me. My school gave me an award, and I decided to continue my school career in respiratory therapy at university. Many contacted me, and now I have to choose in witch one I want to go to continue my studies.

My two parents are doctors, and when they knew that I came back home before the end of my internships the were very angry. They said that they were really not proud of me, and they retired my name on their testament. Now I live at my friend's apartment, but I don't have money, so I can't continue my studies.

It's a new chapter for me in Laval. I have new friends, a new apartment, and I really like the life here. Every week there is big party on the campus, and it's hard for me to manage my time between school and party. Tonight is the biggest party of the semester, so I can't miss that! But tomorrow I have an exam. I don't know what to do.

I reassured the mother, and I tried to do my best with my little knowledge of pregnancies. When the baby finally born, I was relieved and everything was fine.
