I remember when I was in the Cegep I had straight A's in every general class, though, I was struggling in my nursing classes. The end of Cegep was approaching, and I was hesitating between going to university or to start working after Cegep. Should I start working or go to university?

I ended up choosing university, I was really thoughtful when I made this decision I promised myself to work on my time management to be more efficient in my studies, as the university semester was going on, I had to choose between volunteering abroad or to do an internship.

Before start working, they did a background check. Then, I started working as a nurse in flying team, eventually I had to pick up a department where I would work in permanently. I had to choose between the maternity department or the medicine surgery one. I did not want to be caught in a dead end job. Should I choose to work on the maternity or the medicine surgery department?

I choose medicine surgery because it came with a compensation package. And medicine surgery has a lot more technique to do. As nurses, it is our job to inform the doctor if the vital signs which consist of pulse, pressure, temperature, breathing and saturation of the patient are abnormal but an auxiliary would misconduct herself and do it before I could even get the chance. Should I confront her or ask the other nurses what they think about it?

I choose the maternity department, even though there was no compensation package an income is better than nothing, and it is like a foot in the door. Maternity comes with a lot of overtime, I got asked to stay. Should I accept the overtime and stay or decline it and leave?

I choose to volunteer abroad, it was Pakistan. So, I packed all the things I needed. I met a lot of new people and a new culture, those learning were invaluable. The internship was overwhelming. We were working overtime. But I learned a lot, how to put on a cervical collar, a nasogastric tube, a catheter. I learned how to do a bladder scan. But one of the nurses sexually harassed one of my colleagues. Should I stay silent and mind my business or inform the HR department about it?

While I was abroad, in Pakistan, I completely forgot about my life here, in Canada. I used to have a dorm at university, now I have nowhere to live. So, should I rent an apartment and live by myself or should I buy a house with my boyfriend?
