The end of high school.

After 5 long but fun years, I finally finished high school, it's a big step because now I will become an adult soon and have many responsibilities. My parents want me to pursue my education at CEGEP, but I don't really want to go, I would rather work. Should I listen to my parents and go to CEGEP or should I stop school and work?

Choice 1 : Pursue my education at CEGEP.

I decided to listen to my parents and go to CEGEP. I was not sure in which programme to go in. I had accountants in my family so accounting was an interesting choice for me, but I didn't see myself being an accountant all my life. My second choice was Social Science because it allowed to choose my field of study later, so it gave me time to think.

Stop school and work.

I decided to stop school and try to find a job, so I make good money. I might abolish my relationship with my parents by not listening them, but I wanted to be free and do what I want with my life even if it's not the best decision. Eventually, I will have to create my CV, it will come in handy. Unfortunately, I will only be able do apply at dead-end jobs because I only have my high school diploma.

I decided to apply in the program of accounting. A couple of weeks later I got the news that I got accepted. My parents were really happy and proud of me. I was excited to get started.Before I knew it my summer break was over, and it was time start CEGEP. The first couple of weeks were a bit dreadful, but I got trough it. So far, I liked my program, I was learning about the ins-and-outs of accounting, and I was surprisingly getting straight A's.

A couple of weeks after I applied for Social Science at CEGEP, I got the news that I got accepted. I was really happy, but I was really anxious because I thought that it would be really hard. The first couple of weeks were really easy, but I had a big issue the classes were really boring, and it was hard to really pay attention which I found really maddening. It reminded me a lot of high school. So, I was maybe thinking about actually dropping out and try to pursue something else.

After that, that I brought my CV to the closest McDonald's to my house, I eventually got an email saying that I got hired. My parents were a bit happy for me, but I was overwhelmed with emotions because it seemed like everything was going my way. My first day was a bit rough, but it was fun learning the ropes and being a trainee getting to meet everybody. The feeling when I got my first paycheck was amazing, it was a feeling that I can't explain.

Becoming homeless.

After a couple of months, I was unsuccessful at trying to find a job. My parents couldn't handle me anymore because I was doing nothing all day and just playing video games. So, they decided to kick me out even if it were probably the hardest decision they have ever taken. They told me that I can come back when I finally found purpose. I didn't know where to go, so I went to the park and slept there.

Choice 1 : Prison.

Graduation.

Time flies, before I knew it, I finished CEGEP. They say that CEGEP might be the worst years of your life, but for me it was the best. I met so many new friends, and I have memories that will stay with forever. When I look back when I finished high school, I think that I made the right decision by listening to my parents because I think that it would've been a drudgery. I am not sure if I want to go university or just stop here get a job as an accountant.

I decided to pursue my education at university, I think that it's a smart decision because it will allow me to get a premium wage, and overall a better life. It doesn't bother me that much because I like school, and I have friends that are also going to university.

I decided that I would stop school and apply at different accounting firms to see if I could land myself an internship. Eventually, I was really surprised many of the firms have offered me internships.I decided to pick the closest one to my home so that I could arrive on time because I don't have a car. Right now I would say that my goals are to get a car and get on-the-job-training to land myself a higher paid job else where.

Choice 1 : settle down.

Prison.

I couldn't find any work, my family didn't want me anywhere near them. It was a hard decision, but I think that it might be better than my current situation. I decided to rob a store, so that I could get into prison to get free food and a place to stay. Unfortunately, things didn't go as expected, it was my first time handling a gun, and I shot and killed somebody by accident. The judge gave me life in prison.I guess now I have somewhere to stay at.

After a couple months working at McDonald's, I've developed some amazing work relationships with my coworkers. Honestly, everything was going great, my manager was allowing me to give OJT to new employees, he said he would give me a higher wage which will give a higher income, and he was giving me overtime. One day, I come in for my shift like every other day, but before I started, he wanted to speak to me. He told me that I was fired because he couldn't afford to have to many employees, but I knew that wasn't the true reason. I tried contacting HR, but they didn't help. I was back to square one.

Choice 1 : Vegas.

Vegas.

I was pissed about losing my job, so I booked a 1-week vacation in Vegas. Before I knew it, I was going to Vegas. Once I arrived I went to my hotel room dropped off my luggage and went straight to the casino. Most people play black jack, roulette, baccarat, poker, etc..., but I had one thing in sight. During the same time I was in Vegas it was the Super Bowl, the payout for betting on the least favourite team to win was massive because it looked like it was a guaranty win for the other team. If I bet my life savings on the least favoured team, I would be a millionaire, but also I would lose everything. What team should I bet on?

Choice 1 : Millionaire.

Choice 2 : Broke.

university finished.

I finally finished university. It was really fun and met a lot of new people. Now it's time to make some real money. I applied to all the biggest accounting firms in the country which one of them is about 1 hour away from where I live. After a couple of weeks, I found out that one of the accounting firms had offered me a job as a senior accountant but the only problem is that they are located in Vancouver which literally across the country for me. Fortunately, I also got an offer for the same job at the accounting firm an hour away from me. I'm not sure which offer to accept.

Choice 1 : Vancouver.

Choice 2 : settle close to home.

Millionaire.

I took the biggest risk of my life, and it was the best decision of my life. The guy who just has his high school diploma is a millionaire, some would call it luck, but I call it skill. I was smart enough to not spend it all it one night. I came back home, and told my parents about the win, they couldn't believe it, who knew I would retire my parents at such a young age. From there, everything seemed amazing, I eventually met my future wife that I would have children with, and I invested the rest that I had so that I would live a good life. I was set for life, and I had a family, I couldn't ask for more.

Broke.

I took the biggest risk of my life, and it was the worst decision of my life. I lost everything and everyone was telling me that I'm stupid.I can't even leave Vegas because like an idiot I took a one way flight. So, basically I don't have place to stay at anymore, I can't leave here, I can't contact my parents, it looks like I'm going to live the rest of my life in Vegas homeless.

Vancouver.

I wanted something fresh and new. I decided to move to Vancouver to start a new life. I rented myself an Airbnb for the meanwhile, and I immediately started at my new job. I found it surprisingly really fun, the only thing that I needed make better was my time management because of my jet lag. Overall, I really love this place, It's a hard decision, but I will settle here for the rest of my life.

I decided to stay close to home and take the job that is 1 hour away. I think it's the right decision. I don't know if should've gone to university if I knew I was just going to get a job close to home. Overall, I don't mind settling down here for the rest of my life, I will be close to family, and I'm very familiar with this area.

Lottery.

I decided to drop out of CEGEP, I found that Social Science was too boring. The same day I went to the gas station, and I saw lottery tickets on the counter, and I said to myself why not, I'm feeling lucky today. It turns out it was a winning ticket, I was a millionaire.I only told my parents because I knew people would try to steal my money. They told me to invest it and buy a house. That's exactly what I did and from there on out, I was set for life. Imagine what would've happened if I didn't drop out.

I will probably reach all of my goals, but I think I will just keep this job because it's my safest option. I will just settle down, have a family, keep this stable job and ride off into the sunset.
