The end of high school.

It is the end of high school, and I have tom choose what I want to do for my future job. I am hesitating between the program in orthosis, prothesis and orthopedic care, and the police officer program. I am someone who likes to help others, find solutions, and be creative. That is why both options interest me since they allow me to support people in different ways. Which career should I choose?

I think that program is a great choice, because will be able to work with patient in a clinic and do some hand on jobs too in a laboratory. I'm exited to learn how to do orthotic corset, halo orthosis, cranial orthosis, crutch, wheelchair and many more. I'm also exited to see and learn different pathology such as plagiocephaly or stroke and how to reeducate them after. Should I continue in that domain?

To get in the program there are a lot of steps to take. First, I have to do the physique test. For that test, I have to do a swim test or a running test. Witch one should I choose?

I'm so happy to be accepted in the program! However, I live far from the college. I can take my car to go there, or I can take the train. Taking the car cost a lot of money and the train takes a lot of time management. Which one should I choose?

Taking my car is great because I save time. I don't have to wait for the train. The only negative point is that the gas is really expensive. I think I didn't put aside enough money. What should I do?

Taking the train is really time managing because I have to match my schedule with the train. At least I always arrive on time, and I have more time to study. I manage to pull off straight a's in all my classe. Since I have good grades, I can do internships during summer. I have to choose between the public sector or the private sector. Which one choose I choose?

Clearly stopping taking my car is the best decision. Now, I'm taking the train, and it is for the best!

I save a lot of time taking my car though the price on the gas keep going up. I don't have money anymore to pay for my gas. I don't have the choice anymore, I have to take the train.

I got employed in a clinic! I jump right in the on the job training program. As a trainee, I could do wrist orthosis or ankle-foot orthosis. Which one should I choose?

In that internship there was non on the job training program. I had to follow an employee and take note of what he was doing with the patients and the ins-and-outs of the job. Unfortunately he was doing things that weren't right under the office politics. What should I do?

I'm now a professional in that domain. I have a lot of patients with different needs of wrist orthosis.That will be my job until I retired. The company that I work for is really great, and it offers me a pension for when I will retire.

I'm now a professional in that domain. I'm now recognized in the whole world for my competence in ankle-foot orthosis. That reputation gives me the drive to work harder.

Even if I got deterred by the other employee to do it, that was the right choice! Since I report the misconduct actions of the employee, I've dreaded the reactions of my coworkers. Fortunately, the were all happy that I did it because they were all too scared of the perpetrator to tell the boss. At the end, I've learned from that situation not to be scared to tell the superior when something is wrong. I'm now happy and comfortable in my work environment.

I've decided to not tell the boss. Maybe that wasn't the right decision. Now the boss has the ingrained idea that I'm the one that threats the company. Since I'm new, nobody has my back. I got fired from the company.

Wow! I think that that was my best run that I ever did. I'm doing great today! I can now pass to the next step to become a police officer or do the test again to have even better results.

The next step to be a police officer is a background check by the HR. They will look very carefully to everything that could have happened in our life to make sure that we are the right candidate for the job. To look in my personal files, they have to have my consent. Should I give it to them?

I'm now at school, and I'm doing very well. I've heard from a colleague that there was a vacant position has an assistant in the dispatch center. Should I apply?

Great! I got engaged. This student job will make me have a foot in the door in the domain. I will continue my studies and graduate has a police officer three years later.
