Congratulation, you just finish your DEC, you can now choose between going to the test in Laval (big town) or Napierville (small town).

You pass the theory exam. You now at the interview. The interviewer asks you one last question. What's the most important quality for a firefighter.

You train your axe swing, pulling fire hose, running, climbing stairs, you pike pole push and pull. You also train real situations like moving around carrying a fire extinguisher, dragging a mannequin and even operate a fire truck. All your intense training come to an end as you passed the test. Congratulation! Your now a real firefighter. You now have to choice. Go to the fire station 1 or 2?

Why do you get ready for an interview? You are supposed to do a physical test not an interview. Of course, you didn't get the job. Start over to and try taking the right choice or change career?

You know how to work with your hand, so you go working on a construction company. You stay there your whole life. You got money, but it also comes with very big back problems and a bit of regret from passing by a profession that you had always been dreamed of.

It's already Monday morning, you check the fire truck, everything look good. As you close the door, you get a fire call. You arrive at the scene you see a lot of smoke coming out of the house. Do you enter the house to see if somebody is still in there or wait for the fire hose?

Good choice your now in the fire station 1, the fire station with the second most interventions in Laval. As you were preparing dinner you get a call for a person in a cardiac arrest. You get your place in the fire truck. When you arrive in front of the house, you realise that's the house of your best friend. Do you tell your coworkers or not?

Nice job, you choose the station that gets the most intervention in all of Laval. You salute all the firefighters at the station you get an intervention for car accident. When you arrive at the scene you see that one of the drivers is still in their car, so you approach the car. When you arrive at the window you see that he is unconscious, so you get him out of the car quick and start the CPR. The paramedic arrive 5 minutes later and take the victim with them. A camera and a journalist approach you and ask you if the person is okay and want to ask you a couple of questions. Do you answer them or call your chief, so he could answer them?

Go in the house.

You enter the house to make sure nobody is still there. You run in the house searching for somebody the fire surround you. Your blocked inside. You call for help on your radio, but you didn't test it at the station. The fire climbs on you. You can't do anything. You should have wait for your team and the fire hose. At least you got an article about you in the newspaper.

You decided to wait for the protection of the fire hose. Good choice, you follow you training. After a couple minutes of putting water all over the house to make sure the fire is extinguished, you get out with your team. The smile all over your face. Your proud of yourself. Go back to the station.

The officer looks at you and tell you to wait outside. No need to get traumatized on your first day. After the intervention the officer come to you and tell you that you made the right choice. Go back to the station.

You don't tell your coworkers because you think that you need to be brave to be a firefighter. You enter your friend's house and see him on the floor not breathing. Their partner recognizes you and scream at you to save him. You touch him and he is already cold. You freeze not knowing what to do or how to tell your friend partner that you can't do anything. Your officer says that you should have told him that you knew the victim. After 10 minutes, you still can't move. You're in post-traumatic shock. You need to see a psychology professional.

You try to answer one question and your officer take you by the collar and pull you to the side. He tells you to never answer any questions of the media, so you don't say anything bad or something that turns against you. Now go back to the station.
