My-future-after-college

The beginning of the story.

I went to cégep for a good time. When I graduated, I didn't know what to do. I wasn't sure if I wanted to continue in my field of study or if I wanted to enjoy my life a little. I studied Police Technology to get my dream job, but I am not sure at all if I am in the right place. What should I do?

Choice 1 : Police officer.

Choice 2 : Travel around the world.

School

Police officer.

I applied to the National Police School in Nicolet. As a future police officer, I needed to go to this school to become a police officer. Sometimes, it can be a long wait before getting in the school, but I got lucky and got in only a month after applying. The school helped me to learn the ropes about the job, and helped me to make better choices when it came to police work. The program in Nicolet School is more like an in-depth training than Police Technology is. It was really fun because I could make a lot of new friends that were on the same path as me. We were all excited about the fact that we were almost done with our school career. We were also excited about the fact that we were not far away from arresting perpetrators. It was a great experience, but where should I work?

Choice 1 : Work up north in Nunavik.

Choice 2 : Work in a city not far from my hometown.

Police officer

Travel around the world.

The moment I graduated from cégep, I booked a flight to the Bahamas. I have been there for two weeks and after that, I kept traveling around the world. It was an amazing experience, and I would recommend it to everybody. I got to discover many cultures around the globe, and I met a lot of people. Every time I went in a foreign country, many women where practicing their flirtation techniques on me because they didn't care if I thought they were weird because they knew that we wouldn't see each other anymore. Those trips were very special to me because before graduation, I have never traveled anywhere outside Canada. It was very pleasant, but somehow, I got bored and tired of all that traveling. I also missed my family a lot because I didn't see it in quite a while. What should I do?

Choice 1 : Come back home.

Choice 2 : Keep traveling.

Earth

Work up north in Nunavik.

Working in Nunavik as a police officer has a lot of upsides. In fact, I had a really good wage. The wage was really good because of the downsides. I had to work thousands of kilometers away from home, so I didn't see my family very much. But besides family matters, there was also the culture differences. In Nunavik, everybody is a hunter so there is at least one gun in every house. For a police officer, it is very dangerous. The compensation package was the thing that interested me at first. In the first year, I made the double of the salary that I would have done working in a city police department. It allowed me to put a lot of money asides, and pay my mortgage in a few years only. With the time, working in Nunavik created me a lot of stress dues to everything there. What should I do?

Choice 1 : Rethink about what I really want

Choice 2 : Work in a city not far from my hometown.

Polar bear

Work in a city not far from my hometown.

Getting to work in a city is not as easy as it seems. In fact, I needed to wait for a vacant position to get a job. Once I got it, it was really fun. I had a lot of fun with my partners and also with the civilians. Sometimes, people were happy to see us in the streets, and they talked to us just for fun. It was really fun. We also had the chance to have interns in the patrol car. They were always happy to learn new things. I also helped a lot of trainees to get them a foot in the door. Sadly, I didn't have a compensation package, but I accepted it because it was almost every time, a good time. The biggest drawback was the salary. It was good but not great. I didn't know if I wanted to pursue my career in the police. What should I do?

Choice 1 : Go back to school.

Choice 2 : Keep the job.

Montreal Police

Come back home.

I came home and was very happy to see my family. It was a really long trip, and it felt good to see my mom again. I thought it would have been a dead-end to come back home, but it wasn't. Being for away like that, I couldn't really work, so when I came back, I really needed money. I was hesitant about the work field I wanted to go in. If I go to the police academy and become a police officer I couldn't travel as much as I want, but I would have my dream job. If I become a blue collar, and work in the construction, I could travel in the winter. What should I do?

Choice 1 : Become a blue collar.

Choice 2 : Police officer.

Keep traveling.

I kept travelling around the world and enjoyed it very much. I somehow ended up in Australia and I really loved it there. The people were nice and the place was insane. I could go to the beach every day and do what I want every time I want. I learned to surf and made it a living. I decided to move there because I thought that it was my paradise.

Choice 1 : The end

Go back to school.

I wanted to go back to school thinking of getting a job with a better salary. My teacher was a bit strange at first sight, but I didn't think much about it. He kept getting weirder and weirder with a woman in my class. One day, it really looked like he was harassing her. I got closer and heard him talk to her, and it really was sexual harassment. I arrested him on the spot and sent him to court. I realized that even if the pay isn't really good, I love my job and never want to quit.

Choice 1 : The end

University

Keep the job.

I got tired of patrolling the streets because of the night shifts. I decided to apply to become a detective. They needed a new detective because of a leave of absence of another detective. I got the job, and I dealt with a lot of perpetrators, threats and many criminals. I really love the police works.

Choice 1 : The end

Detective

Become a blue collar.

Working as a blue collar was really hard on my body. At least, I had many vacations every year, so I could to many things. I traveled a lot during my time in the construction industry. I really like it.

Choice 1 : The end
