The end of cegep.

It was the end of Cegep. I thought my path was clear. I already got a foot in the door at an enterprise with the internship that I already did. I was hopping to start full time job and buy myself a nice house maybe a nice car to but in general building my future.

Choice 1 : Stay in my field.

Choice 2 : Stay in school.

Stay in my field.

The first possibility that is open to me is to stay in my field of study and go work my full time job. But I don't know if I will stay here in Sherbrooke. In fact, my family is already here, and I already got a job. Another way I could go work in the mine near Fermont in the north of the province. But I will have my purpose. I have learn the rope in that domain.

Choice 1 : Stay in Sherbooke.

Choice 2 : Go in the North.

Stay in school.

In another way I could stay in school and do another thing. I could still live rent-free at my parents' house. There are two possibilities one is to go in a DEP specialize in electricity, so I can get more pay because it is in my field of study. I could go in university in a more office job. But I have never been a straight A's student.

Choice 1 : University.

Choice 2 : DEP.

Stay in Sherbooke.

In Sherbrooke, I already know a place were they would take actually I work already there. I was an intern, they had a vacant position. But there is the HR from another company that wants me to work for them they are offering me good compensation package to leave the other factory.

Choice 1 : Stay loyal to my factory.

Choice 2 : Try another factory.

Go in the North.

Up to the North there are some mines that could give me a better income. I would start there as a trainee, and I would do some OJT. This job is fly in fly out. They are doing some background because you take the plane to go there. But I could go work there in the transformation plant or direct in the mine. The overtime there is open.

Stay loyal to my factory.

I could Work in the factory where I already work and continue to do sprocket alignment, change some contactor, do electricity, welding and do my time management sheet. But there is an opening for a supervisor job.

Try another factory.

There are some other factories that are really interesting. They are in a domain that I never did like doing paper like Domtar Kruger. In another way there are some factories that makes plastic stuff or gasket. There is all a word around the production. Our world is depending on that. But I will do on-the-job-training.

Stay as a mechanic on the floor.

So there still the possibility that I stay on the floor as a mechanic because the job is diversified, and I have a lot of fun doing it because of the people that I work with.

So there is the office job. It is less fun because it is more repeating. I will be planing the job on the equipment, buying the part and be the supervisor of all the mechanics in the factory.

Now I am working as an industrial mechanic in a transformation plant that makes iron up the north of the province. I am doing to weeks working twelve hours shift and two weeks off. I am on a test drive of this lifestyle I don't know If just doing four five-year there or stick tin the north till I retire. When, I work I do oil change alignment timing belt an all the stuff a mechanic do.

Choice 1 : Stay four five-year.

Choice 2 : Stay till I retire.

If I work in the mine then I am an operator of big truck but, with my training I help the mechanic with pump pneumatic and hydraulic.

So, if I stay only in the mine for a couple of years then I could already buy a house and pay the mortgage on it, so I could live dept free an enjoy my life.

If, I stay there I would live dept free, and I would retire very young and have a big pension for me, and I could live with the one I love.

So, you made the principal choice of me working in the field of study that I been studying for three years. You have made a good choice because I loved My job and working with my hand. I got a family and my dream house.

So, now I am going to university, but I don't know which one because in Sherbrooke there is nothing related to my field except mechanical engineering and I already done that. In Montreal there is industrial engineering that is more related to my field of study.

Choice 1 : Sherbrooke university.

Choice 2 : Montreal university.

DEP.

So there is another option before university. It is a DEP. Since, I am an industrial mechanic I could do a training in electricity to get specialized, and do more job. There is welding because everywhere a welder are getting a premium wage.

Choice 1 : Electricity DEP.

Choice 2 : Welding DEP.

Sherbrooke university.

So, now I am studying in Sherbooke I live at my parents' house because I can't work full time a study at the same time my parents want me to succeed in live. I choose to go back in mechanical engineering. It was the program that was the most interesting for me.

Montreal university.

So, I choose to go Montreal, but I hate that city. The program that was the most interesting for me was there. It has been really difficult to because I need to pay for my stuff now I am on my own without the help of my parents.

Electricity DEP.

So here I am at the 24 Juin doing some electricity. Plug in some electrical motor, doing some detector learning programmatic for production equipment. Everything is going well I like it. It is not too much mathematics like in the cegep.

So, now I am specializing in a DEP in welding it is very different of what I have already done. You are working by yourself because you make your own part with a cutting saw, and you weld it together. All of that with a plan made by an engineer.

So, this is the end of school after I have again specialized in something. I have pass more time doing party then really studying, so now I am living in an apartment because I have been making bad choice.
