After your graduation at high school.

Now that you have finished your high school, you are planning to apply to Cegep de Sherbrooke. This is a big decision that you will have to make. You must choose between a pre-university program or a technical program. The pre-university program take about 2 years and the technical one will take 3 years. The pre-university diploma couldn`t allow you to enter any firms you should continue and specialize at university. But the technical one, after the 3 years you could work after.

Pre-university program.

If you believe that higher education will be beneficial later in life, a pre-university program may be the right choice for you. This degree will allow you to continue at university and pursue a career in any field. If you are passionate about understanding human behavior and helping others, you may want to consider studying Social Sciences o Science.

Technical program.

You are the kind of person who wants to choose to learn practical skills over theoretical lessons, and you want to learn the ropes in a program, you will also have On-the-job-training in your last year for studies. A technical program will allow you to have an experience on the ground. In about 3 years you will have theoretical lessons, especially in your first year, after that, you can apply your knowledge, this is the best test drive you could have. After the 3 years you could choose between joining a workplace or continue your studies at university for a better wage.

Natural Science program.

You chose Natural Science as your field which led you to have courses such as biology, chemistry, mathematics, physics. In this field, you will learn theoretical concepts and hand-on laboratory work, you will learn science rigor, critical thinking, and problem-soling. After 2 years, you discovered that you loved humans interaction and help others, you should choose between studying psychology and law. In Natural Science you could choose a scientific field and being a doctor, you could change the career and give up the idea of a Social field.

Choosing law studies.

As you know Law is a quota program, you should have an R-score between 31 and 32. You always tried your best even when you are overwhelmed, and your try as much as possible to getting sucked up in your studies. Now you should choose between entering law school directly or studying 1 year in Politics after that applying in law.

Choosing Psychology over law.

If you chose psychology you would able to help people to pass over the difficult emotions, and situations. The drawbacks of this field : to be emotionally affected by your job. You should now choose between becoming a psychologist or a teacher in psychology. With psychology you could also interact with people and help them to solve their problems, the only difference is that you don`t have laws to defend the victim.

Entering directly law school.

Now you have your admission in law school you should know what attract you in law, If you are interested about resolving war crimes, corruption, and injustice the international law is the best choice for you, but if you want to focus on the laws that affect daily life such as criminal prosecution or civil dispute and help people with a bad background check, you should choose national law.

Politics studies.

Even if you didn`t have the right R-Score to enter directly to law school, there is another option that could allow you to enter after 1 year to law school. Indeed, after 1 year in politics studies and with very good marks, you could apply once again in law school. After that one year in political studies and after learning the systematic study of government systems and power dynamic, you should reconsider if you want to continue in that field or pursue your first choice (law).

Being a psychologiste.

Do you recognise yourself when I tell you that you love helping people with their mental health and love solving their mental problems more often than not. Then, being a psychologist is the best choice.After your diploma in psychology, you should choose between opening your office or working in someone`s firm and learn the ins-and- outs of the office.

Teacher of psychology.

The interactions with people are not your strength than being a teacher to explain the theoretical lesson is an option for you . You should now determine where you want to teach: at college or at University. Both of them have the same value no one is undermined, you should eliminate your bias about being a psychologist`s teacher.

International law.

You chose international law you would study legal systems` interaction globally and how international courts address war crimes. You could defend country and vulnerable populations, by that you could know that you can work with other country to maintain the peace in the world. Now you have to decide: Should you chose to work as a lawyer in human right or immigration.

National law.

As a Natinal lawyer, you could process files such as domestic law. For exemple : divorses,violence, fraud ,ect. That subjects in national law attract you, so you decided to continue your life by being a national lawyer until your retirement.
