The choices after high school.

Throughout my high school years, I dedicated myself to studying science. This choice made my decision about my Cégep program. However, I already had a big passion barbering.

How about being a barber?

Being a barber is not an easy job. You don’t only need to know how to cut hair, but also manage your own business. However, you can also be work on a salary basis and avoid investing too much time on special business classes.

How about sciences in CEGEP?

When it was time to apply to my science program, I had two branches to choose from health science or pure and applied science. Those two branches directly choose my future University program.

Cutting hair for a good part of my life.

I decide to focus on filling my schedule and increasing my clientele. By doing, so I can raise prices due to high demand, which will allow me to save enough money and retire at a young age.

Investing in the barber business.

Investing time and money in the barber industry can be very rewarding. I can invest in many things to gain knowledge, such as precision cutting classes, business classes, and even more. With all this knowledge, I can either work as a salaried barber or I can decide to open my own barbershop.

Opening my barbershop.

Opening a barbershop can be very difficult. There is a lot of money to invest, and could be a not working risk. However, with enough business knowledge, it can be a lot easier and even more profitable. If multiple barbershops can run themselves, there is no need to work as a barber anymore.

Health science in Cégep.

Choosing health science as my Cégep programme could make a doctor, dentist, psychologist, and even more choices. It can be very difficult, but it opens all doors for University.

Pure and applied science in Cégep.

Choosing pure and applied science as my Cegep program opens a lot of doors for my University program. It could make me an engineer, an architect, and even more.

Becoming a Doctor.

Becoming a doctor could be an interesting choice. I could save lives and be proud about what I’m doing in life. However, it takes a long time to finish University to become a doctor.

I would like to become an architect, because there are maths, physics and it’s very artistic. It’s a mix between art and science wi=hich is perfect for me.

Becoming a dentist.

Dentist is a manual work which contains science. It’s difficult to be accepted in the University program, but when I’ll get there it will be a fun program. Also, it’s a highly paid work.
