Welcome to My Complicated Life.

The End of High School.

Here we are, the moment that I have been waiting all my life : the end of high school. Everyone seems to know what they are going to do with their lives, everyone has a plan, a purpose, except for me... Should I be a nurse? Mhmm no, I don't think I will be able to balance studies and my social life. Well, I always wanted to work with kids... I think I am going to apply into the Early Childhood Education program. Where should I go?

Choice 1 : Apply to Dawson College.

Choice 2 : Apply to Montmorency College.

Collège Français

Apply to Dawson College.

I got accepted to Dawson! I am really happy because it had been a dream of mine to go study at an English school. Now, I am overthinking... I don't know if I am capable of following in class. I never been to an English school before. What if I don't understand a word of what they are teaching me? What have I done to myself? Should I keep pushing myself up or should I just drop out and go to a different Cegep?

Choice 1 : Keep going.

Choice 2 : Apply to Montmorency College.

Dawson College

Apply to Montmorency College.

Montmorency College was not my first choice, but we cannot always have everything we desire in life. Since French is my first language, school was not hard for me. In fact, I was getting straight A's in every subject. It had me thinking... Since school is really too easy for me, should I drop out and do something else instead?

Keep going.

I decided that I wanted to prove myself wrong and show that I am totally capable of graduating from an English school. I hired a tutor who really came in handy with my studies. I am now my last semester, which consist of completing an internship. The only thing I don't like about being an intern is that I don't earn any wage. So, I can't really put aside some money while being at school. Should I get a part-time job on the side?

Choice 1 : Find a job.

Choice 2 : Finish the internship.

A tutor

Find a job.

I found a job at IGA. I am working as a cashier. Balancing school and work is a bit hard for me, and I am starting to feel a lack of motivation. To make things even worse, I forgot how to speak French properly since now I am studying full-time in English. My superior called me in his office today... He told me this with his big Québécois accent : We are in Québec here. You have to respect "La Loi 101", I have to fire you. This was not the right decision.

Choice 1 : The End of High School.

The grocery store

Finish the internship.

I am currently doing my internship at a daycare in the Plateau Mont-Royal. I really like this institution, the staff is really friendly and helpful towards me but there is one parent that gives me weird vibes. Monday, I was welcoming the kids into the classroom and this dad, who I am going to call him Fred, came up to me and told me that his son was lucky to have a young and beautiful educator like me. At first, I thought that it was an innocent compliment from Fred. However, over the next few days, Fred started to pull me closer, grabbing my hips, and touching my lower back. This flirtation made me feel awkward because I did not know how to react, and I did not want to fail my internship. Should I confront Fred or should I go tell my supervisor?

Choice 1 : Confront Fred.

Choice 2 : Tell my supervisor.

A dad with his kid

Confront Fred.

After a week of supporting those nasty comments and flirtation behaviour, I finally gathered up the courage to confront Fred. I told him to stop immediately this behaviour or else I was going to press charges on him for sexual harassment. He told me that he had no idea of what I was talking about. I looked at him and told him that he chooses the wrong girl to mess with. The following day, I learned that Fred withdrew his son from the daycare. The war was over. I finally escaped from this perpetrator, and I passed my internship. I can finally go work in the real word!

Choice 1 : The End.

Tell my supervisor.

I decided to go tell my supervisor. I knocked at the door. She tells me to take a seat in her office. I told her everything, everything! Surprisingly, she did not believe me. She told me that I was seeking for attention and that I had better apologize to Fred. She also warned me that I needed to stop this "behaviour" immediately, or she would suspend me from the internship. I know my worth, so I decided to not let others degrade me and to stand up for myself. I decided to confront Fred.

Choice 1 : Confront Fred.

The End.

After graduating, I went to the McGill University. That is where I found my husband, Drake. Right now, I am 67 years old, living in the countryside, with my family of four children, and a small farm in our backyard. My husband and I live on our retirement pensions. Even though I had a wild young adulthood, I would not change anything because that is how I met my husband.

Choice 1 : The End of High School.

An house in the countryside

Start my own business.

I decided to invest in the crypto world. I had this idea that I was going to earn a premium wage, travel all around the world, and become super rich, but that illusion quickly faded away. I was investing a lot of money and loosing a lot too. I never made any profit from it. It felt like I had a foot in the door. I knew I needed to change my career choice, or I was going to end up broke, really broke. This was not the right decision...

Choice 1 : The End of High School.

Crypto crash

Stay in school.

Like in every other school, I need to complete my internship to graduate. Before starting my internship, I have to do a background check to verify that I have no criminal record. I went to a police station to fill out those papers. A week later, the police knocked on my door to tell me that I have to come to the station with them. I do not understand... I never did anything wrong. I cannot even hurt a fly. What is happening?

A police car

Refuse to go to the station.

The police officers started laughing. I was a bit confusing. Why were they laughing? I locked at one badge of the officers, and it was written his name, Michael. He said,"Listen little girl, you do not understand. You do not have a choice here. Is either you come with us or I am going to handcuff you." He handcuffed me, and I got into the police car.

Choice 1 : Go to the police station.

Handcuffs

Accept to go to the station.

Michael, one of the police officers, told me that I made the right choice. I got into the police car and went to the station.

Choice 1 : Go to the police station.

Police car with emergency lights on

Go to the police station.

At the police station, everyone was looking at me weirdly. The tension in the air was tense. Michael told me that if I was here with them today it is because I am one of the most wanted people in the world. I looked around to see if there were any cameras filming because I thought this was a prank. I told Michael to cut the show and that this joke had gone too far. The police officer told me that this was serious. I stared to cry, I had never hurt anyone. Why was the police after me? Bryan, Michael's colleague entered the office. He asked Michael to come outside, he needed to have a few words with him.

Choice 1 : Overhear the conversation between the two police officers.

Choice 2 : Wait for Michael to come back.

A police station

Overhear the conversation between the two police officers.

I am a curious person, of course I am going to try to overhear the conversation. Unfortunately, there are a lot of background noises and Bryan is whispering, so I cannot really hear anything.

Choice 1 : Wait for Michael to come back.

Wait for Michael to come back.

Michael reentered the room looking embarrassed. He told me that they had made a mistake... The most wanted person in the world just happens to have the same name as me. They admitted it was a rookie mistake and apologized for all the confusion. How can I go back to my normal life after all of this?

Choice 1 : Continue the internship.

Choice 2 : Give up.

Continue the internship.

I learned the ropes, got my life back together, completed my internship, and finally graduated from Montmorency!

Choice 1 : The End.

Graduating

Give up.

I got a dead-end job at a grocery store. Ever since that evening with the police officers, my life has been depressed. I hate my life. Nothing makes any sense. This was not the right decision...
